Exhibitors should follow their veterinarian’s recommendations to assure their dogs are free of internal/external parasites, any communicable diseases, and have appropriate vaccinations.

The Greater Brighton Collie Club and the Toledo Collie Club and the Show Secretary, their agent, employees, etc. assume no responsibility for any loss, damage, or injury sustained by exhibitors, handlers or by any of their dogs or property and further assumes no responsibility for injury to children.

No entry shall be made and no entry shall be accepted which specifies any conditions as to its acceptance, postdated and returned checks do not constitute a valid entry fee. The Show Secretary will add a $30.00 fee to each returned check

No Refunds for duplicate entries. Every effort to find duplicate entries will be made. Owners will be responsible for errors in making out entry forms. Whoever may make such errors, and no entry fee will be refunded in the event of such errors or cancellations after the published closing date and time.

Judges will not wait for any dog holding up a class. Owners are responsible for the presence of their dogs in the judging ring when their classes are called. Dogs may arrive any time prior to their scheduled time of judging. Dogs not required for further judging will be excused.

Cash prizes/trophies/awards will be given out in the ring to the person showing the dog. The Show Secretary, Toledo Collie Club, and Greater Brighton Collie Club disclaim any liability for cash prizes after the judging is over. All trophies/Awards will be awarded in the ring. No trophies/Awards will be mailed.

Entry Fees shall not be refunded in the event that a dog is absent, disqualified, excused by a veterinarian or judge or barred from competition by action of the Event Committee. If because of riots, civil disturbances or other acts beyond the control of the management it is impossible to open or complete the show, no refund will be made. Extreme Weather conditions, such as but not limited to storms, hurricanes, lightning, extreme heat must be considered for the health and safety of the exhibitors, dogs and spectators. The well-being of the dogs and spectators is of paramount importance and in the event it is necessary to cancel or stop the show before completion, no refund of entry fees will be made.

These Clubs do not agree to the arbitration claims set forth on the official AKC entry form for these events.

  • The Bred By Exhibitor Class shall be for dogs that are not champions of records on the date of closing of entries for the show.

Entry Blank must be filled out with the necessary information, otherwise the entry in Junior Showmanship will not be accepted.

Novice Class – For boys and girls who are at least 9yrs old and under 18yrs old on the day of the show and who, at the time entries close, have not won three First places, with competition present, in the novice class at a licensed or member show.

Open Class – For boys and girls who are at least 9yrs old and under 18yrs old on the day of the show and who, at the time entries close, have won three First places, with competition present, in the novice class at a licensed or member show.

NOTICE

Juniors who substitute for the original dog they have entered in the Junior Showmanship Classes with a dog that is not entered in one of the offered classes at this show must remit the Junior Showmanship Only fee with their substitution.

BUILDING INFORMATION

The Show Site will be available Friday March 3, 2018 from 5pm to 10pm. Please stack all crates. This is a self-cleaning show. Owners, Agents or Handlers are REQUIRED to clean up after their dogs in all buildings and outside on the grounds. NO ex-pens allowed inside buildings, NO Alcohol allowed on the premises. Grooming and exhibiting located in the same building.

Crates must be stacked if requested by the Event Committee.

The use of Foul or Abusive language may result in a hearing of the Bench Committee.

All Cellular phones and devices must be set to vibrate or turned off while in the building during judging.

NO SMOKING WILL BE ALLOWED INSIDE ANY BUILDING.

Spectators/Exhibitors are allowed to videotape dogs in the ring as long as it does not interfere with judging, the comfort of others exhibitors and/or obstruct the free flow of foot traffic. Flash photography of dogs while they are competing inside the show ring is not permitted.

All persons attending this show waive any claim for damages against the Greater Brighton Collie Club (GBCC) or the Toledo Collie Club (TCC) or its members in the event a motor vehicle must be entered to rescue a dog from overheating or suffocation due to improper ventilation.

We ask our exhibitors not to leave dogs unattended in rooms unless crated. Please do not bathe dogs in the hotel rooms. Hotels are getting more and more difficult to find, so please take care that we do not abuse the privilege of bringing our dogs in the rooms.
