Job Overview:
A IOC seek a Senior Reservoir Engineer to join a newly formed head-office subsurface team to play a key role in the maximisation of value from their subsurface assets. Applicants are invited with a minimum of 5 years’ industry experience, excellent reservoir dynamic characterization skills, reservoir monitoring, optimizationexperience and the desire to join a well known International Company on the threshold of significant exciting expansion.
Job Responsibilities:
- Well test design, supervision and interpretation.
- Design, monitoring and interpretation of interference tests.
- Design of fluid sampling and PVT analyses. Interpretation of the data obtained from those analyses. Fluid characterization.
- Design and interpretation of water compatibility studies for water injection systems.
- Design and interpretation of Conventional and Special Core Analyses.
- Understanding of rock properties from wireline logs and core analyses.
- Ability to work effectively and cooperatively within multidisciplinary teams of other professionals in all aspects of field development, reservoir characterization and reservoir monitoring.
- Design and interpretation of production logs.
- Interpretation of cement logs.
- Perform well location assessment, wellbore trajectory planning for highly deviated and horizontal wells, develop subsurface well prognosis estimates.
- Design well completions and artificial lift requirements.
- Define perforation intervals with the geologist.
- Evaluate and determine reserves and resource figures. Prepare the data for reserve audits.
- Reservoir and production daily surveillance.
- Quality checking of field data based on a good knowledge on Gas Oil Separation Plants, fiscal metering and meter proving.
- Design and follow-up of reservoir pressure monitoring programs.
- Perform production allocation based on production tests and field production data.
- Determine production forecasts based on decline analysis and dynamic simulation.
- PrepareField Development Plans.
Candidate Requirements:
- Minimum Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Petroleum and Reservoir Engineering.Advanced Degree Preferred.
- Solid background in Reservoir Engineering.
- At least 5 years relevant oil industry experience with some or all with an operator essential.
- Proven experience in reservoir monitoring and dynamic simulation, integrating production, log and core data essential.

- PanSystem or Saphyr
- ECLIPSE
- OFM
- Experience in Conventional and Special Core Analysis methodologies and interpretation.
- Experience in PVT experiments and analysis interpretation.
- Experience in well testing design and supervision.
- Experience in PLT design, supervision and interpretation.
- Experience in reserves estimations following SPE or SEC rules.
- Experience in production data quality checking and production allocation.
- Previous experience of working assets in Russia.
- Ability and desire to mentor more junior staff, to share knowledge and experiences to increase the skill set of the team.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills essential; must be able to convey information and ideas through presentations and reports in a clear manner that engages the audience and helps them to understand the technical issues involved
- Self-motivated individual with the ability to multi-task in a dynamic environment.
- Confidence to tackle areas outside their comfort zone, merging their own skills with contributions from colleagues in other disciplines to resolve complex, multi-faceted problems.
- Tact and diplomacy in dealing with partners, licensing authorities, third parties and consultants.
