One hundredth. All of Accomack and Northampton Counties; part of the City of Norfolk comprised of the Crossroads (511), Northside (103), Ocean View Center (506), Ocean View School (102), Oceanair (508), Suburban Park (215), and Wesley (217) Precincts and part of the Granby (101) Precinct; and part of the City of Virginia Beach comprised of part of the Chesapeake Beach (037) Precinct.
Precincts shall be interpreted to refer to those in existence on April 1, 2011, and as reported by the United States Bureau of the Census in the 2010 Census reports provided pursuant to United States Public Law 94-171, notwithstanding subsequent changes made by localities.
The following descriptions are provided for information purposes only pursuant to § 30-264 of the Code of Virginia. The provisions of § 24.2-304.03 of the Code of Virginia, including the statistical report referenced in and on file with the Clerk of the House of Delegates, shall be controlling in any legal determination of the district boundary.
A. Part of the City of Norfolk east and north of a line described as follows:
- Beginning on the City of Norfolk—City of Hampton boundary at its intersection with the I-64 Hampton Roads Bridge Tunnel (U.S. Highway 60 and State Route 168) in the Chesapeake Bay:
- clockwise east in the Chesapeake Bay north of the City of Norfolk shoreline to North Beach View Street extended to the shore line
- southwest on its extension and North Beach View Street to Beach View Street
- west on Beach View Street to Chesapeake Boulevard (State Route 194)
- south on Chesapeake Boulevard to East Little Creek Road (State Route 165)
- west on East Little Creek Road to Tidewater Drive (State Route 168)
- south on Tidewater Drive, crossing I-64 and Thole Street, to an unnamed stream at a point 51 feet south of Thole Street/Tidewater Drive intersection
- west on the unnamed stream to a branch of the Lafayette River lying east of Suburban Arch
- west and then southwest in the Lafayette River [including, possibly inadvertently, one unnamed legal boundary crossing the tip of a peninsula at the terminus of North Blake Road and placing census block 517100022002007 in House District 89] to an extension east from Afton Avenue to the River
- west on the extension from Afton Avenue and Afton Avenue to Granby Street (U.S. Highway 460)
- north on Granby Street to North Shore Road (including in House District 89, census block 517100015001022 and the part of the median of Granby Street lying between North Shore Road and Cromwell Parkway)
- west on North Shore Road to Ruthven Road
- north on Ruthven Road to West Little Creek Road (State Route 165)
- east on West Little Creek Road to Newport Avenue
- north on Newport Avenue to the Norfolk Southern Railway
- southeast on the Norfolk Southern Railway to Granby Street (U.S. Highway 460)
- north on Granby Street to MasonCreek
- west and northwest in Mason Creek and its westernmost branch to a point east of 6th Avenue and to a property line
- north, east, and northeast on the property line (eastern boundary of census block 517100009021159) to West Bay Avenue
- southeast on West Bay Avenue to First View Street
- northeast on First View Street to Ridgewell Avenue
- north and northwest on Ridgewell Avenue to Rippard Avenue
- northeast on Rippard Avenue to O Connor Crescent
- northwest on O Connor Crescent to 4th View Street
- east on 4th View Street to I-64
- northwest on I-64 to a point .08 miles south of the southern terminus of Le Clair Street and to the southern shoreline of Willoughby Spit
- west on the southern shoreline of Willoughby Spit to an unnamed legal boundary that intersects the shoreline at a point 135 feet east of Bayville Street
- south on the unnamed legal boundary (part of the western boundary of OceanViewSchool (102) Precinct and southeastern boundary of census block 517100004003031) to the southwestern shoreline of Willoughby Spit
- southwest, northwest, and northeast on the Willoughby Spit shoreline to I-64
- northwest on I-64 to the City of Norfolk—City of Hampton boundary in the Chesapeake Bay at its intersection with the I-64 Hampton Roads Bridge Tunnel, the beginning point.
- Part of the City of Virginia Beach consisting of part of the Chesapeake Bay and providing a link between NorthamptonCounty and the City of Norfolk (census blocks 518109901000007 and -0006).
