Eco-social Work Weekend Symposium

Convenors: Dr Antonia Hendrick, Dr Susan Bailey, Dr Marilyn Palmer

; ;

This symposium will draw on permaculture principles (of Earthcare, people care and fairshare) to bring together people who are interested in economic, social, political & ecological sustainability as it applies to social work, specifically to explore practice opportunities across all of the domains. If you know (and like) the ideas of Un-conferencing, Open Space Technology or World Café then this is probably for you.

No keynotes. No presentations. Hardly any powerpoints.

Who should attend?

Social work practitioners, human service practitioners, students, and anyone interested in community development, Indigenous cultures and health, community gardens, and seeking ways to embed Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander ways of knowing, doing and being into the Social Work curriculum.
