Brainstorm a list of chores you are responsible for at home. Choose one chore and prepare a one-minute speech to persuade another member of the class to want to do the chore. Use the following guidelines to prepare your speech:
1. Clearly describe what the chore is, in a way that makes it seem attractive to someone who might have to do it. (hook, thesis and 3 reasons)
2. Give at least three reasons to persuade someone else to do the chore. (Cover each of the 3 points with details)
3. Include an elaboration technique, a conclusion with restatement of 3 points, and a satisfying closing sentence that is a call to action for the audience.
