5. Potential Conflicts with Saturday Night Capture

Lisa has checked the calendar through the end of 2014, and the following pose possible problems:

June 15, 2013: RTF Training (all day). If this follows the same schedule as last time, we can use the Ascent setup, and they should be through in plenty of time. It was noted that this event is scheduled for 9:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m.

Oct. 26, 2013: STL Partners’ Luncheon. We’ll have to setup for the Ascent after this event anyhow, so this should work OK. This event should be finished around 4:00 p.m.

Dec. 7, 2013: Luke 14 Banquet. It might be 8:00 or later before the FH is set up for the Ascent.

6. Sermon Transcript printing on April 14 and 21, Lori out of town

Chris Dolon will print transcripts for these 2 Sundays. Tina Whitman will set up a separate user

account on Lisa Shirley’s computer for future use when printing transcripts.

7. Fellowship Hall security

With the addition of new sound and recording equipment it is extremely important that the doors to the

Fellowship Hall are locked following meetings and events in the Fellowship Hall. All lead ushers will be given a key to the Deacon box to ensure that they have the proper keys to lock the Fellowship Hall and ministry room doors. Barrett Johnson will announce to Ascent worshippers that they will need to be out of the Fellowship Hall within a reasonable time frame on Sunday afternoons. It was noted that the double doors can be locked, but often are not pushed tightly shut.

8. Mud Run – June 1 – request to post publicity. A poster for this event was approved.

9. Boundless Prayer: The City The Commission endorsed Grace Josey’s idea of including a prayer

covering for the City as a part of the Boundless prayer listing.

10. Saturday 4/20, Chi Rho lunch, JB – room set-up

Brandon has given keys to the Chi Rho representative and showed them where extra tables are

located.

11. Open for Finals : (Thursday, May 2 (7:30pm to 2am), Friday, May 3 (7:30pm to 2am), NOT ON

SATURDAY, MAY 4, Sunday, May 5 (7:30pm-2am) and Monday, May 6 (7:30pm to 2am).)

Brandon reviewed set-up needs for the Open for Finals event.

·  Setup to begin in Library Thursday, May 2 as early as 3:30 (The Village Chapel will be in the chapel until 9 or 9:30)

·  Plan to leave Chapel setup on Thursday night and take down Friday night.

·  Plan to set up chapel and elementary school classrooms (110-113) following Sunday, May 5 worship services

·  Plan to leave chapel set up on Sunday, Monday and then tear it down on Tuesday mid morning.

12. Brooke Parise has requested setting up a table in the Chapel to have information regarding the Medellin mission trip for the next 3 Sundays. It was approved for her to have a table next to the “Next Steps” information table.

The meeting was closed with prayer.

Respectfully submitted, Lisa Shirley
