Society of Yeager Scholars:Deadline is December 1. Yeager is MarshallUniversity’s four year full scholarship. Minimum requirement for consideration is a composite of 28 on the ACT or 1260 on the SAT. A lengthy application is required. Please see MU’s website for more info.

Fruth Pharmacy Scholarship-Fruth Pharmacy recently announced it would endow a scholarship for a graduating high school senior from LawrenceCounty to attend Ohio University Southern. The scholarship will begin being awarded in 2013. This scholarship will be established at Ohio University Southern Campus. For more information go to and click on scholarships.

National Co-Op Scholarship Program- to qualify students must have a cumulative high school GPA of 3.5 or better, and must apply/be accepted for the 2013-14 academic year at one of WACE Partner Institutions. University of Rio Grande Chemistry Scholarship Competition-Friday, November 16, 2012. First prize is a full-tuition scholarship. Participants will receive a tour of campus and our science facilities and will be able to interact with students currently majoring in chemistry. Lunch will also be provided. Abbott and Fenner Scholarship Program- will be awarding up to $1,000 to the winner(s). Deadline-June 14, 2013.

Bowling Green State University-Four year scholarships are available for incoming freshmen considering careers in teaching science and/or mathematics. Science and Math Education in Action offers recipients $3,800 the first year of college with increases each year up to $5,200 the fourth year-a scholarship valued at a total of approximately $20,000.
