Thunderbird Artists and Guilloume Travel to Marble Falls, Texas, For the HighlandLakes Fine Art & Wine Festival!

Thunderbird Artists of Fountain Hills, Arizona, the leading producer of fine art and wine events in the Southwest, proudly presents the Highland Lakes Fine Art & Wine Festival. The event will take place on April 4th, 5th & 6th, 2008, in Marble Falls, Texas.The festival encompasses award-winning and nationally acclaimed artists from throughout the United States and abroad, with fine wine and live musical entertainment.

The featured artist for this festival is sculptor and painter,Guilloume. As a master of "Bolismo," a self-described, emotion filled style using modest forms, textures and shading,Guilloume captures the vast range of human feelingsfrom the simple visages of routine, daily interactions to those highly complex expressions; reflecting the depths and heights of the earthly experience with all its joy, afflictions, hopes and fears.

All of Guilloume’s pieces portray figures devoid of facial features to emphasize the similarities common to all humanity. Typically, his work depicts two or more people symbolizing his understanding of humans as social beings. “Ibelieve art to be one of the universal languages and I have always sought to create beauty that speaks to people from all corners of the earth”.

Along with fine art, Thunderbird Artists takes pride in offering a diverse range of musical entertainment. This event will feature Brule’ with band AIRO (American Indian Rock Opera) and Huayllipacha.Brule’ is a Native American group that will capture your attention and your senses with a mix of flute, piano, traditional drums and various guitars. Huayllipacha is composed of four brothers, all bringing their musical talents together, thus creating one unbelievable sound of the Andes. Listen and hear both traditional and contemporary music from the heart and soul of these dedicated musicians.

In addition to the distinctive sculptures and paintings by Guilloume, the festival will present fine artisans displaying paintings in all mediums and subjects, along with small to life-sized bronzes, clay, glass, wood, mixed media, metal sculptures, photography, jewelry, and much more! The festival also incorporateswine tasting, live musical entertainment and a prime location in the heart of the HighlandLakes area, the largest chain of lakes in Texas.The festival sets up along Main Street, in the historical district of Marble Falls.

For $10.00, patrons will receive an engraved souvenir wine glass and six tasting tickets; allowing patrons to come together and enjoy the ultimate experience of fine art and fine wines.
