INSTRUCTIONAL GOALS

Welcome to Weights & Conditioning. The goal of the class is to prepare you to be a successful athlete and to raise your abilities to a higher level. In this class you will increase your strength through various weight lifting lifts. In this class, we will do the following 5 lifts (Bench, Incline, Squats, Power Cleans, and Push Press). Everyone is expected to do these lifts to build the complete body, and help all athletes compete at a high level. Along with the five core lifts, every athlete will increase speed and endurance through running, pushing and running with weighted sleds, running inclines (hills), and working on their conditioning as well. Various stretches, agilities, and plyometrics will be incorporated as well.

NOTE: ALL ATHLETES OF ALL SPORTS WILL BE REQUIRED TO LIFT ON GAME DAYS AT ALL TIMES, AND ALL SEASONS, NO EXCEPTIONS. COACHES OF ALL SPORTS HAVE AGREED TO THIS, AND IT WILL BE APPLIED.
