We encourage all Mount Tabor senior families to file the…

Free Application for Federal Student Aid at fafsa.ed.gov.

Families should file the FAFSA even if the priority deadline has passed. Community Colleges do not set FAFSA filing deadlines, but families should file early and communicate directly with the financial aid office to make sure that all parts of the enrollment process are completed.

Important scholarship practices for students and parents:

  1. Search scholarship and financial aid opportunities available from the colleges and universities where you plan to apply-know deadlines and application procedures.
  2. Research scholarship opportunities at a national database like wwwfastweb.com or find broad and some unique scholarship opportunities.
  3. ALL North Carolina families should review scholarship and financial aid information available at CFNC.org. Click on Pay and then Grants and Scholarships. Information about the FAFSA, Need-Based Grants and Scholarships, Merit-Based Grants and Scholarships and Grants and Scholarship Search tools.
