“TOPIC: HARI AND THE FAIRY”
1.Introduction:- Learning to communicate is one of the most popular multi-skill courses in English in the country. Need-based and learner centered, it develops essential communication skills and integrate the four language skills of reading, writing, listening and speaking.
2.Topic: Hari and the Fairy.
(a)The lesson deals to provide a sense of sympathy and honesty to the students. The story is about a woodcutter, namely Hari, he was in a forest cutting wood near a lake. Suddenly, his axe slipped from his hands and fell into the lake. He became upset and in a sudden a fairy came came out of the lake and she helped the woodcutter by providing the two axes, one golden and one silver but the wood cutter refused from taking these axes and he was in search of his old iron axes. Watching this, the fairy became impressed and she provided these three axes to the wood cutter. One his own axe and two silver and golden axes as rewards for his honesty. So, these types of lesson are not mere causes but they are real lessons to the students to develop values in students.
3.Theme or moral lesson:
(i)Honesty is the best policy.
(ii)Honesty never goes un-rewarded.
4.Conclusion: This text has been carefully chosen in accord with the age group of students. This course also aims at developing certain values and attitudes like honesty, caring for others, compassion and preservation of the things.
5.Hence, this types of lesson are appealing type and helps to develop the moral values, attitude, value education to the students. The early years of one’s life have a long lasting impression on the whole life of an individual. Hence, the school is not only providing academic education but also shows a moral path to the students.
