BY-LAW NUMBER 6-2007
Being a By-law to authorize the Mayor and Clerk to Sign promotion agreement with Blackburn Radio
WHEREAS the Corporation of the Town of South Bruce Peninsula wishes to promote the Wiarton Willie Festivaland the Town of South Bruce Peninsula through radio broadcasting.
NOW THEREFORE THE COUNCIL OF THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF SOUTH BRUCE PENINSULA ENACTS AS FOLLOWS:
1)THAT the Mayor and Clerk are hereby authorized to sign the promotions agreement with Blackburn Radio.
2)THAT a copy of the agreement as referred to herein shall be attached hereto and form part of this by-law.

SaubleBeach Winterfest: Friday, January 26th – 27th, 2007
Wiarton Willie Festival: Friday, February 2nd – 4th, 2007
Concept:Promote Sauble Beach Winterfest “Wake Up Willie Battle of the Bands” on 94.5 The Bull through event sponsorship using on-air liners and providing an event host. A live interview on 94.5 The Bull will be used to recap all the upcoming Sauble Winterfest proceedings as well.
Promote the Wiarton Willie Festival on 94.5 The Bull, 101.7 The One and AM 920 through on-air liners and recorded promos. Highlight 94.5 The Bull and 101.7 The One’s involvement by creating and executing a promotion specifically targeted towards this event including a live broadcast from Wiarton on prediction morning.
Execution:The Bull – A day with The BULL at The Wiarton Willie Festival… Listeners are encouraged to listen in for the cue to call leading up to the festival to qualify to win a 1-night stay with accommodation in Wiarton the night prior to the Wiarton Willie Festival prediction day. The lucky winner will get to co-host along side The Bull Pen as they wait to see if Willie will see his shadow or not. This lucky winner will also get a Wiarton Merchandise Package. Winner will be announced Friday, January 26th.
101.7 The ONE – Winter Fun Contest… It’s time for our listeners to get out in the snow and have some fun with their families! The One will encourage families to send in their digital photos of their outside adventures. We’ll be posting their family pics on our website (anything from kids snow sculpting their own Wiarton Willie to just having fun playing). We’ll announce the lucky winner on prediction morning at the Wiarton Willie Festival. The winner will receive a 1-night stay in SaubleBeach for a family of four and a Wiarton Merchandise Package.
