CT2C-7X / CVN NATOPS Evaluation
1. The CT2C syllabus may be modified at the Commanding Officer’s discretion.
Events to be completed/deleted from the syllabus will be annotated in the Aircrewman’s training jacket (Enclosure 17-6).
2. The Carrier Transport Second Crewman (CT2C) Syllabus consists of ACTC, ten aircrew CV flight evaluation flights, six instructional logistics flights, an oral board, open book and closed book NATOPS examinations, and a CT2C NATOPS Evaluation Flight.
3. The CT2C portion of the ACTC shall be completed by the Aircrewman prior to and evaluated by the Upgrade Board.
4. Events shall be completed in order. The CT2C syllabus shallbe complete before the Upgrade Board, open and closed book NATOPS exams, and Events 1-6 shall be completed prior to the CT2C-7X.
5. CT2C-7X shall be flown with a designated ASST NATOPS/NATOPS Instructor. All other CT2C flights may be flown with a designated Instructor Aircrewman.
6. CT2C designation requirements are listed in Chapter 5 of the C-2A NATOPS.
7. An Aircrewman shall designate CT2C within 12 months from the date of squadron check-in. Failure to upgrade within the timeframe shall result in the squadron convening a PRB. An Aircrewman requiring more flights than specified in the syllabus are subject to a PRB. Board results/recommendations shall be forwarded to the Commanding Officer to establish the next course of action.
8. When applicable, the Transport Second Crewman will fill out all forms concerning weight and balance, cargo, mail, fuel requirements, passengers and distinguished visitors. These forms will be completed under the direct supervision of a qualified CT2C or CTCC.
