Eaton Aerospace Trip – rescheduled date: 25 March 2015
I am writing to apologise for the late cancellation of the Year 10 trip to Eaton Aerospace scheduled for the 26 February 2015. This was beyond our control and due to the volume of work at Eaton. Fortunately we have been able to reschedule the trip for the 25 March 2015.
The arrangements for the visit will be as previously communicated. The students will need to meet at 08.30 in Angelico Block. The students will return to school by 12.00 and will be travelling both to and from Eaton Aerospace by school minibus. Students may wish to bring food with them as it is highly likely that students will not be back aat school in time to use the canteen at break time.
As the trip will involve a site tour the students will need to wear a range of PPE clothing including safety shoes. As such when returning your reply slip please can you include your son/daughter’s shoe size so that safety shoes can be arranged for them to wear whilst on the site tour.
The cost of the trip is £3.80. As this trip is deemed to be an enhancement to the curriculum, the school normally is unable to offer financial assistance and therefore the full cost of the activity must be borne by yourselves. Payments and accompanying paperwork must be handed in on or before the deadline date outlined to avoid jeopardising your child’s place on the trip/activity. Should your child withdraw from the activity, please be aware if a deposit is required that this will be non-refundable and any further payments can only be refunded if the place can be filled by another student on a waiting list, or if the withdrawal is for an insurable reason. If there are significant changes to the cost of the trip, these may have to be passed on to the student. Be assured that we will try to keep such costs to a minimum.
We would advise that students do not to take valuables out on school activities, however, should they be taken parents should ensure personal possessions are adequately insured.
If you have not already returned the reply slip and payment as yet please could you do so by 23 March 2015.
