Dear Parents/Carers
PARENT GOVERNOR ELECTION
I wrote to you on 6 November 2012 inviting nominations for our Parent Governor vacancy. We have received six nominations and thank you to everyone who has shown such an interest in being part of the governing body team. As we have more than one nomination we will be holding a ballot.
We have received the following nominations:

Please find attached to this letter a short statement from each of the nominees for you to consider and to assist you in making your choice.
Two voting slips are also attached. You should place an ‘X’ in the box for the person of your choice, place the slip in a sealed envelope and return the envelope to school either via your child, in person to Reception or posted to the school. The envelope should be marked for the attention of Susan Bolton, PA to the Headteacher & Governors. Please ensure that you put the name of your child and tutor group on the outside of the envelope so that we can register who has voted and ensure that only vote per parent is received. If the envelope does not have your child’s name on it or you place more than one ‘X’ on the ballot sheet, the vote will not be counted. Every parent/carer is allowed one vote.
The voting slip must be returned to the school by 4.00pm on Tuesday 27 November. The envelopes will be opened and votes counted on Wednesday 28 November at 3.30pm. Parents/carers will be informed of the result on Thursday 29 November.
We have had a very good response to our request for a new parent governor representative. Please show your support for the six candidates by ensuring that you register your vote.
