ELMHURST LITTLE LEAGUE PARENT COMMITMENT AND VOLUNTEER APPEAL
Elmhurst Little League is run by volunteers; everything from mowing the grass to paying the bills is done by individuals who have chosen to help the league. ELL is gathering a list of volunteers who can be contacted when help is needed. Common tasks and responsibilities of the league that must be accomplished each year are listed below. If you would like to offer your time or services, please initial all that you would be interested in and also complete the 2016 Volunteer Application. Please sign up today, we can ALWAYS use the extra help!
____ Ballpark Help- Help with park clean up days, pick up trash, landscaping, trim weeds and mow. Help with diamond maintenance and other ball park maintenance tasks.
____ Facilities Maintenance- Do you have special skills (electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, equipment operation, etc.) Let us know, we need skilled help from time to time.
____ GameAssistance- Regular season and tournament help with setting up the diamond (rake infield, putting down chalk lines, etc.), run the score board. ELL would prefer to have adults operate the score board to keep current on balls, strikes, outs, innings and runs scored
____Additional Concession Help- We are compiling a list of volunteers that are willing to provide more than the required time in concessions that we can call on should we be short handed in concessions
CONCESSION DUTY- Each parent is obligated to work four (4) hours of concessions per registered child. ELL offers a buyout for your concession obligation, which is $50.00 PER REGISTERED CHILD. Should you wish to buyout, this fee MUST be paid at the time of registration. You will be provided with 2-3 days that your four hours may be fulfilled and may choose whatever time works best with your schedule. If you fail to work your allotted concession time, you will be billed $50.00 per child/time not worked at the end of the season.

*Little League puts a high priority on child safety and has undertaken serious efforts that include the requirement that local leagues (ELL) conduct background checks on volunteers including a review of sex offender registries, child abuse and criminal history records.
