Starting from 2007-08 onwards, Girls football and BIS are synonymous. A devastating bunch of dedicated girls, Seniors as well as Juniors, braved all odds to be at the ground at 6:00am sharp every alternative day to undergo the rituals of training for a whole semester. Despite injuries and academic commitments they won all the championships in 2014-15 and in 2015-16: a remarkable achievement! The love for the sport, dedication and commitment and, most of all, the bonding amongst them, and the conducive atmosphere in school have resulted in the present top position amongst the International Schools in the Country. We will miss a solid bunch of players namely: Piyanka Bakshi, Giorgia Valenti, Meagan Manuel, Vibha Pinto, Katia Hardgrave, Fathima Zohra Feroze and Kitty Clouston, who are graduating this year. Their legacy will be maintained by the younger bunch in future who will be following their footsteps. As their coach, I am proud of them and thank the Head of School and the management for their eternal support.

Sir Rajendran – Girl football coach

Well, we have been through quite a journey! From practice at 6am twice a week in the morning cold breeze, to winning every single match we have played together. I can definitely say that all the members of the team are like sisters and they have made me discover how much a sport can unite people. We have gone through injuries, struggles, fights and wins together, supporting one another to the fullest. We had a lot of fun on the field and we have definitely put our hearts and souls into every tournament, every trophy, every medal.

Giorgia Valenti – Grade 12 - Middle fielder since grade 6th

Playing on football team was such an amazing experience. The game itself was not only exciting and blood-rushing, but the bonds we created as team members are unforgettable. The numerous tournaments we attended offered us with competitive and exciting atmospheres. We also learned the true meaning of sportsmanship. To sum it up, playing football and winning tournaments for the school was truly an unforgettable experience.
