Echoes and Reflections- A Multimedia Curriculum on the Holocaust

The following workshop is offered to Social Studies/History and English/Language Arts teachers who teach in grades 7-12. A multi-media curriculum notebook (a value of $100.00) will be provided to all who attend the workshop. This workshop is required for educators who would like to have their students participate in visits from Robbie Waisman, a child survivor of Buchenwald, and his American liberator, Leon Bass, in March of 2012.

Echoes and Reflections: A Multi-Media Curriculum on the Holocaust

Echoes and Reflections is a comprehensive curriculum that delivers the pedagogical expertise of the Anti-Defamation League, Survivors of the Shoah Visual History Foundation, and YadVashem (Holocaust Martyrs and Heroes' Remembrance Authority in Israel). Rich with visual history testimony integrated into 10 multi-part lessons, this educational resource offers curriculum connections to contemporary issues of diversity, prejudice and bigotry, and modern-day genocide. Facilitators from the Institute for Holocaust Educationwill guide participants through a four-hour training. Participantsmust be present for the entire workshop and complete an evaluation for using the curriculum. There is a $20 registrationfee for this workshop. Your completed evaluations at the end of the workshop are required in order for you to receive the curriculum notebook and teaching resources (a value of $100.00). Snacks and lunch will be included.
