Abstract Submission:

6. Strategy: Continue to post resources on website.

  • Post new resources from ND groups and national entities on website. Link to new resources in monthly enewsletter.

Develop method for scoring CATS from Summer submissions and future CATS for placement as full text in monthly enewsletter. Would score undergraduate and graduate CATS separately. Will also look at number of times downloaded in the Spring for another set of featured CATs. Need to figure out how we score the CATs and a timeline. There were 30 new CATs posted during the summer.

Scoring Rubric Subcommittee: Jana Zwilling, Betty Tykwinski and Patricia Moulton

Minutes from Subcommittee Meeting including Draft Rubric

Group Discussion- The group decided to have Patricia send each CAT to two reviewers. Each person on the workgroup (there are 19 on the list) would get 2-3 CATs. They would send their scores to Patricia who would average them. Rank them and publish the top three in each category. Workgroup members will be sent instructions on how to review the CATs and also to email Patricia immediately if they can’t serve as a reviewer.

Need to discuss how we might solidify topical categories- end up putting some things under Family Practice. Are their volunteers to work with Patricia on this?

Group Discussion: Might add diabetes and dermatology categories. Stacey Pfenning and Carla Hansen can be on the call to help reorganize. Might consider using Acute Care versus long term care versus ambulatory care. Patricia will also ask Kyle if there is an advanced Search plugin that we could use on this page.

  • Email Bootcamp PICO questions to CUNEA and encourage students to complete CATs with assistance from workgroup and post completed CATS in enewsletter. Have emailed programs.

6. Continue work to target 5 health care facilities and/or education programs to present opportunities to post PICO and other resources to website.

Patricia and Kyle are in the process of presenting to all of the education programs and many health care facilities as a part of our strategic planning process. Many were unaware of this resource. Greater awareness may increase the number submitting.

7. Develop online webinar of each step of PICO.

  • Develop online webinar with a small workgroup- small group met December 2015 to plan timeline. The subgroup plans to send powerpoint slides to Patricia by February 15th so they can be sent to this group for a quick review. Video taping will be on February 23rd and the videos should be ready for posting online in early March 2016.

PICO Video Subcommittee: Stacey Pfenning, Tammy Buchholz, Wanda Rose, Dana Kitsch, Kyle Martin

Approximately 5 minute videos to be videotaped/produced by Kyle and then put online on the EBP site

  • Introduction- Stacey
  • Asking the practice question with worksheet- Stacey
  • Collect and Critically appraise the evidence- Wanda
  • Integrating into Practice- Tammy/Stacey/Dana
  • Evaluating the change result using some of the stories from our current online video to demonstrate- Tammy/Stacey and Kyle
  • Evaluate and determine any changes needed- after March pilot.

8. Determine effectiveness of project. Outcome measures collected through December 2015. Report written January-March 2016. Any other measures we should be looking at?

# of ND education programs, health care facilities and other organizations submitting resources, # of web hits and visitors, # of resource and toolkit downloads, # of video and webinar views, # of participants at bootcamp, ratings of EBP knowledge and evaluation of bootcamp

Group Discussion: Interesting to know if the Sanford Evidence Based Practice council will use this as they orientate new members. Could use the group to determine how users use the EBP website.

Should also analyze the # of times the CATs were clicked on in the enewsletter

9. Market Evidence Based Resource Center and new webinars through enewsletter and facebook advertising.

  • Develop draft ad for marketing campaign- plan to do this after the new mini videos are launched
  • Determine population for facebook advertising- have $100 budgeted for this- wait until videos are done
  • Implement marketing. March/April

Next meeting is March 7, 2016
