When opening,servicing,repairing,anddisposing of appliances withrefrigerants,
servicetechnicians musthaveatleastoneselfcontainedrecoveryequipmentor recyclingequipmentatalltimes.
Allapplianceswithrefrigerants,recoveryequipment,recycling equipment,and
refrigerantcylinders shall becleanandleakfree.
Theservicetechnicianisresponsibletomaintainallapplianceswithrefrigerants, recoveryequipment,recycling equipment,andrefrigerantcylinders ingoodworking condition.
Ifappliances withrefrigerants,recoveryequipment,recyclingequipment,andrefrigerant cylindersarenotfunctioningorarenotingoodworkingconditionorneedto berepaired, it is theresponsibilityoftheservicetechniciantoreportitonan [FORMNAME]tothe
[Facility ServicesSupervisor],anditisthesoleresponsibilityoftheservicetechnicianto repairthe appliances withrefrigerants,recovery equipment,recyclingequipment,and refrigerantcylinders beforeperforming any serviceonthesame.
Preventivemaintenanceshall beperformedontheappliances withrefrigerants,recovery equipment,recyclingequipment, andrefrigerantcylindersas required.
Appliances withrefrigerants,recoveryequipment,recyclingequipment,andrefrigerant cylindersthatfail duetolackofmaintenancewill betheresponsibility oftheservice technician.
Oilsextractedduringserviceshouldbekept,markedanddisposedofseparatefrom otheroils.
Eachrefrigerantcylindershall bemarkedforidentificationpurposes (refertosubsection onlabelingrequirements).
Refrigerantsof differenttypes shallnotbemixedwithone another.
