You will be completing a 100 point project to uncover details of one organ system. You will be expected to prepare a brochure (or similar outcome), powerpoint, and assessment piece.
Groups
**You are to choose a group of 3-4 members.
**Each group, regardless of size, will have the same requirements and same time period for completion.
Content
**You are not limited to discuss the information mentioned here, it is a guide.
**Every detail is not mentioned below. Below are main categories for which you should research.
**Focus should be placed on:
Function of the system
Major parts and their functions
Pathways in the body
Connection to other systems
**Pictures (in the brochure, pamphlet, or booklet) must have captions and be cited.
Resources
**Work must be cited or it will be considered plagiarized. Work must be in your own words. There will be no quotes in this project.
**Respectable sources should be used: Wikipedia, and similar sources are not to be used. You may use your text, but research beyond that.
**Use at least 4 different sources (your book may be one of the 4).
The Product
**Powerpoint Presentation
**Brochure, Pamphlet, Booklet (last page will be works cited)…due at the time of your presentation. You must clear your idea with Mrs. Brooks prior to starting the visual piece.
**Assessment: handout that includes one essay question, one fill in paragraph, 10 higher level multiple choice questions.
**Assessment Answer Key
Email Mrs. Brooks the following: (by 5pm April 26th). If you do not have this emailed by the time indicated you will lose 20% automatically. Plan accordingly so you do not have an issue.
Grading
You will be graded on work ethic in class (appropriate use of time), content accuracy and completion, organization and aesthetics of the overall project, and creativity.
