FACILITY:8 lane, 8 foot wide, 25 yard indoor competition pool and an 8 lane 25 yard warm up pool with non-turbulentKeifer lane ropes, non-skid slanted starting blocks, Colorado timing system with touch-pads and 8 line scoreboard. The minimum water depth, measured in accordance with Article 202.2.4.9C, is 6’0” at the start end and 6’0” at the turn end. The competition course has not been certified in accordance with 104.2.2C (4).
ELIGIBILITY:All 2016 USS registered swimmers are eligible. No entries will be accepted unless the swimmer is registered in accordance with USS regulations. The swimmer’s registration number and age must appear on the entry form. Swimmers who enter as pending or applied for must send in the Athlete Registration Form and payment with the team entry or send a copy of the form and payment which has been sent to Arkansas Swimming. On deck registration will be allowed. Swimmer’s age will be determined by the age of the athlete on January 15th 2016. All entry times must have been achieved on or after January 16th 2015.
TIME STANDARDS:Swimmers must have achieved the listed QT times for all events. All swimmers who wish to swim distance events (400 IM and 500 free) must pre-prove their times when they check in. Coaches may send proof of time with entries also. Hy-Tek results will be accepted.
*The host team reserves the right to enter swimmers who have not achieved the time standard.
EVENTS:This is a PRELIM/FINAL MEET with the following exceptions: all Friday events, the 500 Free, 200 Breaststroke, 200 Butterfly, 200 Backstroke, and relays will be timed finals. Individual prelim events will be swum as 12&under and 13&over. At Finals there will be a consolation heat and a final heat swum for 15&over. 10&under, 11-12, and 13-14swimmers will only have a final heat only (no consolation).
Positive check in is required for the 10&U 200 IM, 13&O 400 IM, and 500 Free by 6:00pm Friday night.
Positive check in is required for the 13&O 200 Breast and 200 Fly on Saturday by 10:10am.
Positive check in is required for the 13&O 200 Back and 500 Free on Sunday by 8:10am.
The 10&U 200 IM and 11-12 500 Free will be limited to the fastest 16 entry times.
The 13&O 400 IM and 13& O 500 Free will be limited to the fastest 24 entry times.
The top 8 swimmers in the 13&O 500 free, 200 Breast, 200 Fly, and 200 Back will swim in finals.
The 400 IM & 500 Freestyle will be swum fastest to slowest alternating women/men.
DECK ENTRIES:Deck entries will be accepted for individual events, where space is available, up to 30 minutes before the published starting time on Friday and each prelim session. Deck entries will not be accepted for relay events. Deck entries must meet time standard. Cost is $5.00 per individual event. (A swimmer who is not previously entered in the meet must also pay a surcharge of $20.00).
ENTRY LIMIT:Swimmers may enter a maximum of three (3) events per day, plus one (1) relay. Swimmers are limited to 7 individual events for the meet.
NOTE: This meet will be limited to the first 350 swimmers entered in the meet. Entries will be accepted in the order in which they are received. If a team’s entry exceeds the 350 swimmer limit, all of that team’s entries will be accepted.
RELAYS:Each club is eligible to enter up to 2 relays in each event. Relays must be comprised of swimmers entered in one or more individual events. Relay teams must consist of 2 girls and 2 boys. Relays are timed finals. Saturday’s relays will be swum at the beginning of finals. Relay names must be submitted to the Clerk of Course 30 minutes before the start of the session.
RULES:2015 USA Swimming and ASI rules will govern the meet. Arkansas Swimming scratch rules will be in effect.
AWARDS:Awards will be distributed as follows:
Individual events will be awarded:
Medals 1st – 3rd and ribbons 4th – 8th in the following age groups: 10 & under, 11&12, 13&14.
Medals 1st – 8th and ribbons 9th – 16th in the following age groups: 15&over
Relay events will be awarded:
Medals 1st – 3rd and ribbons 4th – 8th in the following age groups; 10 & under, 11&12, 13&14, 15&over.

ENTRY DEADLINE:Entries must be received by Wednesday, January 6th 2016. Make checks payable to Northwest Arkansas Aquatics. The enclosed meet summary form must be filled out and returned with the correct entry fee to the address listed. Forms which require a signature for receipt will not be accepted.

ENTRY FORMS:All teams should submit their entries using HY-TEK software or compatible cl2 file.
Pleasesubmit your entry via e-mail. All teams must return the meet summary form with entries.
COACHES:Attending coaches should be prepared to show proof of their registration and valid certification in CPR, First Aid, and Safety Training if requested. Time may be saved by sending a copy of these with your entries.
SCRATCHES:No money will be refunded for scratches. Coaches should submit a list of scratches to the clerk of course 30 minutes prior to the beginning of each prelim session. ASI scratch rules will be in effect.

WARM-UP:The warm-up guidelines set forth by ASI will be in effect.Any swimmer who does not enter the pool feet first during any portion of a warm-up/warm-down period which requires feet first entry shall receive a warning for the first offense rather than a disqualification. Disqualifications are automatic for subsequent violations. In the session in which the penalty is enforced, the swimmer cannot deck enter an event to replace the event from which they were removed. These warm-up rules also apply to the warm-up/warm-down area
Friday warm ups; Lanes will be assigned. The first 40 minutes of the warm up period will be general warm up. The last 10 minutes of the warm up period will be for starts. Pool will be cleared 10 minutes prior to the start of the meet.
All Prelims warm ups; Lanes will be assigned. Teams will have 30 minutes warm up including starts.Pool will be cleared 10 minutes prior to the start of the meet.
Saturday and Sunday Finals warm ups; Lanes will be assigned. Teams will have 30 minutes general warm up including starts. Pool will be cleared 10 minutes prior to the start of the meet.
CONCESSION:Concessions will be available during all sessions of the meet.
SWIM SHOP:A swim shop will be available during the meet.
SMOKING:No Smoking will be allowed on the deck, bleachers, locker rooms or areas designated within the HPER building. Smoking and use of tobacco products is prohibited throughout the University of Arkansas campus.
RULES
AND SAFETY:Possessing a still or video camera or a cell phone with video capability is absolutely prohibited in all dressing areas, locker rooms, bathrooms or any other location where swimmers may be dressing. Any person so found possessing such devices in these areas will immediately removed from the meet with all fees forfeited, and subject to further LSC and or USA Swimming sanctions and penalties.
Deck changing is prohibited.
The HPER Natatorium maintains its own rules for the conduct of meet participants and spectators. These rules will be provided by the facility.
Every swimmer entered in the meet must be certified by a USA Swimming member coach as being proficient in performing a racing start or must start each race from within the water. When unaccompanied by a member coach, it is the responsibility of the swimmer or the swimmer’s legal guardian to ensure compliance with this requirement.
Arkansas Swimming welcomes the participation of swimmers with disabilities in all ASI sanctioned events. Swimmers and/or their coaches who may have special needs are expected to contact the Meet Referee to discuss competitive accommodations, and to contact both the Meet Referee and the Meet Director to discuss facility accommodations, prior to the entry deadline for the meet.
It is understood and agreed to that USA Swimming, Arkansas Swimming, the host club and officials shall be free from any liabilities or claims for damages arising by reason of injuries to anyone during the conduct of this event.
