Statement: I’m extremely proud to call Snohomish County home. My wife Jeannie and I have three daughters and nine grandchildren and I’m proud of my track record of standing up for families in Olympia. My priorities have never changed – standing by our elders and children while making sure that hard working families have access to the jobs and resources they need to be successful.

I helped pass responsible, balanced budgets that prioritize people, not tax breaks for special interests. I’ve fought for increased school funding and smaller class sizes while working to ensure flexibility in standards so kids can succeed. I worked across the aisle to protect programs for seniors, foster kids, and passed legislation to provide treatment for soldiers suffering traumatic brain injuries.

I will continue to promote clean energy alternatives, forge partnerships between government and the private sector to promote innovation and will prioritize job creation for local workers. I helped bring a four-year college program to Everett, am committed to keeping our region a world-wide leader in aerospace, and will invest in transportation to reduce gridlock.

I’ll continue to work hard for the hard working families of Snohomish County – I respectfully ask for your vote.
