4. EMERGENCY FIRST AID PROCEDURE
SWALLOWING: If victim is conscious and able to swallow, have victim drink water or milk to dilute. Never give anything by mouth if victim is unconscious or having convulsions. Call a physician or poison control center immediately. Induce vomiting only if advised by a physician or Poison Control Centre.
INHILATION: Immediately remove victim to fresh air. If victim has stopped breathing, give artificial respiration, preferably mouth to mouth. Get medical attention immediately.

STEPS TO BE TAKEN IN CASE MATERIAL IS RELEASE OR SPILLED:
FOR LARGE SPILLS: Shut off all sources of ignition. Evacuate area. Wear self contained breathing apparatus, rubber boots and gloves. Keep adequate ventilation. Neutralize spill with sodium carbonate and dilute caustic. Cover with an activated carbon absorbent; take up and place in closed container. Transport outdoors. Ventilate area. Flush area with water to remove residues.
FOR SMALL SPILLS: Pick up with flame retardant treated absorbent and dispose of according to all applicable regulations.

Since empty containers retain residual product, (vapor or liquid) all precautions described on this MSDS must be observed.
PROTECTIVE MEASURE DURING MAINTENANCE OF CONTAMINATED EQUIPMENT: Emptied containers should be flushed thoroughly since residual vapor may remain behind.
