The Gainesville Rotary Club is now offering scholarships to attend the Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA) Leadership Conference. This conference will be held at University of North Florida, Jacksonville, Florida, Thursday, June 19th, to Sunday, June 22nd, 2014. Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA) is Rotary's leadership training program for young people. RYLA participants are rising junior or senior high school students. The Gainesville Rotary Club is looking for qualified candidates for this unique leadership training. RYLA emphasizes leadership, citizenship, and personal growth, and aims to:

  • Demonstrate Rotary's respect and concern for youth
  • Emphasizes leadership, citizenship and personal growth
  • Provides an effective training experience for selected students
  • Encourages leadership of students by students
  • Recognize publicly young people who are rendering service to their communities

If you know of a rising junior or senior high school student that would benefit from this leadership conference, and represent the Gainesville community, please have them fill out the attached application. Applicants must be able to travel and attend the conference in Jacksonville, June 19th and return June 22nd.
