Cornwall S Marine Renewable Industry Is Showcased

Cornish renewable energy pioneersat ‘All Energy’

Pioneering marine renewable energy organisations Wave Hub, A&P Group and leading research institute PRIMaRE will be sharing their expertise at All Energy, the UK’s largest renewable exhibition, on18-19 May at the Aberdeen Exhibition and Conference Centre (

The Cornish organisations have been brought together by InvestinCornwall, Cornwall Development Company’s inward investment service, to highlight Cornwall’s position as a world leader in marine renewable energy. Representatives from the organisations will be sharing their insights into the latest developments in the sector at a specially organised seminar – Leading the way in Marine Renewable Energy– which will take place on 18 May at 2.00pm-3.30pm in Room 9.

Installed on the seabed 10 miles off Cornwall last year, the £42 million Wave Hub project has created the world’s largest grid-connected and fully consented test site for wave energy devices, allowing them to be tested and evaluated on a scale not seen before. Wave Hub’s first customer will be Ocean Power Technologies with its PowerBuoy device.
