A Note From Mrs. Klaus
It is very important that you contact your Iowa legislators to voice your opinion about school funding. As of this date, no decision has been made. A 0-1.25 percent increase could result in larger class sizes, less adult support in classrooms, and delay in purchasing outdated curriculum materials. Your voice is important. To find out who your Senator or Representative is go to https://www.legis.iowa.gov Scroll down and you will see a link that is called “Find Your Legislator.” Thanks for supporting our school.
Muffins With Moms
Please join us for Muffins With Moms, sponsored by the PTO, on Friday, May 1 from 7:00-8:00 a.m. in the elementary gym. Our kids love spending this special time with Mom. We hope you can attend!
PTO May Meeting
The PTO strongly encourages you to attend the next meeting on May 13 at 4:00 in the Media Center. We need to have you present so officers can be elected. The PTO may disband if we do not get people to run the organization. Thanks for your help.
Award Ceremony
You are invited to our annual Elementary Award Ceremony on Tuesday, May 19 at 9:00 a.m. in the Spectator Gym. Several awards are given to individuals and groups at this ceremony.
Summer School
May 1 is the last day you can sign your children up for summer school at Starmont. We are working on staffing and need to have an accurate count by May 1. We have to meet requirements for adult to student ratio as part of the grant that funds this program. We hope your child can attend!
