CHUCKLEBOX CHILDREN’S CLUB - GENERAL INFORMATION

Chucklebox out of school club is registered with Ofsted and was established in 1990.

50% of staff are qualified or have relevant childcare experience & all are police checked. The experienced and qualified staff to child ratio is as requested by OFSTED. At least 50% of our staff has a first aid certificate.

A minimum of a 5 hour session maybe booked for one to five days. Payment and the booking form must be submitted together. Payments may be sent or brought to the Chucklebox staff at West Wickham after school hours. Please make Payments and booking as soon as possible. Please telephone the office on 020 8777 0218 and leave a message or 07801 228655 to check availability and to reserve a place. This must be done prior to the day. When the club is open you may call 07914 480907 or 07801228655 for all communication.

The club is held at the Hawes Down Centre, Hawes Lane, West Wickham, BR4 9AE. SPACIOUS SECURE PREMISES.

I would be grateful if you could remind staff in the morning of any allergies to food, wasp stings to ensure it is on the allergies list.

Holiday clubs take place every school holiday and we also provide Breakfast and after school clubs serving several schools in the area.

Children enjoy a varied and exciting programme including construction play, sports, games, cooking, arts and crafts bouncy castle, day trips and lots more fun in our well-equipped premises. Please see the enclosed timetable. All of the children are positively encouraged to join in and try the activities on offer as listed on the time table, however if a child is unhappy with the activity and would prefer an alternative e.g. Board game, construction play this will be offered. Chucklebox Children’s Club policy is to promote an enjoyable safe and secure environment where care is tailored to the individual.

Parents are requested to send children in old, labelled clothes, and it is advisable that children do not bring their own toys or collectors cards to the club, as we cannot be held responsible for any loss or damage.

Please note that registration is from 7.55 a.m.

Should your child display severe behavioural difficulties or have a severe disruptive effect on the rest of the group we will firstly try our utmost to support the child and if it has no positive outcome, the club reserves the right to withdraw your child with a refund for outstanding monies forwarded by post. These measures will only be taken if all other measures to improve behaviour have been exhausted.

PLEASE PROVIDE A PACKED LUNCH

It is advisable that the children have an ice pack in their packed lunch to keep their food fresh. Please provide a drink for lunch times. (Please note that foods and snacks that require heating should not be brought. i.e. pot noodle etc). No peanut butter sandwiches or nut products as we have several children attending the club with severe allergies.

LATE COLLECTION

Whilst every effort is made to accommodate parents, we ask that children are collected promptly at 6 pm or a £5 charge will be incurred for the first quarter of an hour thereafter £10 per quarter of an hour, payable on that day.

I agree to the following Terms & Conditions

• I will supply my child with a packed lunch and drink daily
• I will pay for my child’s place in advance to secure the session. Late booked places must be paid for on the day of attendance.
• Payments can be made by cheque, cash, childcare vouchers or card machine. Proof of payment must be brought or sent to us.
• Any amounts of outstanding payments to us will be transferred to our Debt Collecting Agency. Charges will be added to the amount of overdue plus costs incurred to us. We will proceed with legal action to recover payment owed.
• It is important to inform the staff at Chucklebox when my child is not attending the setting as previously booked.
• I will supply information regarding personal matters that may affect the child’s behaviour so that we may accommodate care for your child.
• I will telephone the setting on 07801228655 or 07914480907 if the regular collector of your child is not able to do so. I understand my child will not be able to leave the setting without the parent’s permission.
• The company reserves the right to revoke a child’s place on the grounds of persistent anti social behaviour affecting the well being of other children, staff or the club in general. These measures will be taken if all other measures to improve behaviour have been exhausted.
• All days booked must be paid for.This includes trips, unless we can fill spaces on the day.
• Unfortunately we are unable to give refunds if adverse weather conditions occur e.g: snow.
• We are unable to give refunds for days booked but not attended. These include unforeseen circumstances & weather conditions.
• Charges are as stated on our Payments & Charges booking form. Late payments will incur in an extra charge of 10%. Children will be excluded from the setting until payment has been given.
• If I arrive later than 6:00pm I will incur a payment charge of £5. From 6:10pm onwards this will increase to £10 every 15 minutes, payable on the day of collection.
• In case of emergency I understand that attempts will be made to contact me or my emergency contact as stated on my registration form.
