Chef Peter Rosenberg joins Certified Angus Beef ® brand culinary team

WOOSTER, Ohio – Nov. 5, 2014 – The Certified Angus Beef ® brand continues to make its mark on the culinary scene, most recently with the addition Chef Peter Rosenberg to lead its Education & Culinary Center in Wooster, Ohio. Rosenberg brings three decades of culinary expertise and consulting to the center, where more than 100 groups of chefs, distributors, retailers and influencers gather year-round to explore premium beef through hands-on meat fabrication, menu ideation and culinary creations. Through Rosenberg’s leadership, the center will continue to evolve into a one-stop shop for beef education and trendsetting.

“Chef Peter brings a wealth of experience and beef knowledge to our customers,” says Chef Tony Biggs, the brand’s director of culinary arts. “Through his calm nature, he offers true leadership to our team and innovation to those coming to us for meal solutions.”

Rosenberg’s culinary journey began with a high school cooking class in Zimbabwe and an internship at a five-star resort in Johannesburg, South Africa. The experience led him to the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, N.Y., where he earned an Associate of Arts degree.

Since then, Chef Rosenberg has spent three decades nurturing his skills at top-rated hotels nationwide and as executive chef at Texas A&M University. He also opened DELICATEXAS Food Creations, a catering and consulting business where he worked alongside the Texas Beef Council, U.S. Meat Export Federation, University of Houston and the Certified Angus Beef ® brand to share beef know-how in Central and South America, the Caribbean, Europe, Japan and the United States. He earned recognition from peers and food critics along the way and has catered events for U.S. presidents and royalty, including a luncheon for Queen Elizabeth at NASA Houston in 1981.

Rosenberg is no stranger to the Certified Angus Beef ® brand, having learned about it during meat classes at the CIA, soon after the beef brand was launched in 1978. He also cooked with the product at several educational programs during his consultations, leading him to appreciate the brand’s consistent quality.
