Subject: Notification of Download Contents
Very shortly a download will occur which will contain the following enhancement and maintenance occurrences.
Some time ago we introduced the pending development of an enhancement providing the ability to complete electronic receipting on the as/400. This enhancement will be part of this upcoming download. This enhancement will allow the ability to retrieve purchase orders and packing slips from the mainframe. You will than be able to view the packing slip, verify inventory received and mark the system to receipt the inventory without any manual intervention. This will eliminate many of the manual receipting errors that are currently occurring. Detailed information concerning this enhancement will be provided in another memorandum.
Refinance/Secured application was allowing processing with only one lienholder on screen. Application has been modified to require two lienholders. You will not be able to progress through the application if there is only one lienholder on the screen. You will be provided a message at the bottom of the screen that says a second lienholder must be added to the screen before proceeding. The refinanced/secured application was created to accommodate two lienholders for a brief amount of time. If you are processing an application with a lien release and adding a new lienholder, you must use the secured title application menu option.
The plate transfer menu option has been enhanced to display and add the $.50 duplicate registration fee to the fees collected for the plate transfer. If you answer the duplicate registration fee question with a “yes”, you will receive the plate transfer fee screen, hit enter, receive a second fee screen with the plate transfer fees and duplicate registration fees summarized. You will than be able to collect moneys for the sum of the two transactions. This will eliminate the need to remember to add the $.50 fee onto the plate transfer fees manually. If you answer the duplicate registration question with a “no”, you will collect the transfer fees only on the first fee screen displayed. Command 10’s will receive the extra fee screen regardless of answer to the question.
The system has been enhanced to allow the transfer of au to lt or lt to au on the following registration types. AG- Agriculture in the classroom plate, AN – antique, AR amateur radio operator, BC Breast Cancer Awareness, CM- Congressional Medal of Honor, CT- Childrens Trust Fund Plate, CW- Purple Heart, EI- Educational, EM- Emergency Medical Service, EX- Ex-Prisoner of War, FF- Firefighter, NG- National Guard, PH- Pearl Harbor, SH- Shriner Plate. When transferring and changing vehicle types and arriving on the original title and registration screen between the plate transfer and original title, simply replace the vehicle type on the new vehicle using the same procedures currently utilized on standard tags. Under no circumstances are you to replace a lost or stolen tag on this screen. You must use the lost stolen replacement screens and complete a command 10 on the plate transfer transaction. If you are going from au to lt do not deliver a new plate to the customer. Simply provide a 12M sticker and new decal and instruct customer they will not be able to use the same plate to go back to an auto in the future. If you are going from lt to au, you must deliver a new plate and decal. Remember the vehicle the tag is on currently must have been sold before you can transfer the plate to a new vehicle.
The system will no longer require mileage on manufactured homes.
You will now be able to process a duplicate title application on an all terrain vehicle type AT.
Special plate delivery has been modified to allow the registration type of PA in the replacement registration type field.
Fees have been corrected on special plate applications to collect the correct fees on a personalized disabled transaction when answering the question no to the fee question.
Removes the printing of a disabled card when entering a disabled plate onto the delinquent property tax menu option.
The as/400 will start sending the owners name into the state on returned check applications.
Locking the delinquent property tax field on the renewal screen which will not allow junk or erroneous information to be entered into this field.
