NOTICE FOR KCCEM STUDENTS FOR THE ACADEMIC YEAR 2017-2018

Following the academic year 2017-2018 starting in September 2017, KCCEM is pleased to inform all students (new and continuing students) the following :

  1. STUDENTS’ REGISTRATION AND REQUIREMENTS
  1. The academic year 2017-2018 at KCCEM is planned to start on 18thSeptember 2017.
  2. Students’ registration will start from 21st August to 15thSeptember 2017.
  3. The registration fee is 29,000Rwf (for the second year students) and 80,000Rwf (for the first year students). This amount is divided as follow:

25,000Rwf : Registration ( 1st & 2nd year students)

2,000Rwf: Insurance against accident ( 1st & 2nd year students)

2,000Rwf: Support to students’ council ( 1st & 2nd year students)

1,000Rwf: Library card (Only for the 1st year students)

3,000Rwf: Student’s ID card (Only for the 1st year students)

22,000Rwf: Field uniform ( Only for the 1st year students)

25,000Rwf: caution money (Only for the 1st year students).

  1. The registration fee is paid to the college account number2850694514036 entitled “KCCEM”, opened in BANK OF KIGALI.

The following are the requirements for the registration:

-Copy of student’s ID (Only for the 2nd year students)

-Copy of the acceptance letter ( Only for the 1st year students)

-A Notarized/Certified copy of a secondary school certificate ( Only for the 1st year students)

-A Birth certificate( Only for the 1st year students)

-A medical certificate( 1st year students)

-Copies of secondary school reports ( Bulletin) from 1st year to senior six (1st year students)

-Four passport size photographs with a white background (1st year students)

-Photocopy of National Identity Card (1st year students)

-Proof of payment (bank slip) of the registration fee (1st & 2nd year students)

-A proof of payment of tuition fees (1st installment ,at least 25% for private students)

-Proof of valid health insurance (ex: Mutuelle de Sante for 2017-2018) (1st & 2nd year students)

-All students are requested to come with boots and rain coats for field activities. No student will be registered without showing them.

  1. STUDENTS ACCOMMODATION AND RESTAURANT
  1. KCCEM is only accommodating female students, and the monthly payment is 5,000Rwf. Only beds and mattresses are provided by the college.
  2. Male students can also easily get accommodation from private people near the campus. Though they are advised to come with their mattresses, and to arrive early in order to make their own arrangements about accommodation.
  3. KCCEM students’ restaurant is open to all students, and meals cost 18,000Rwf per month (breakfast, lunch and dinner).
  4. KCCEM finance/Restaurant doesn’t receive money in cash. Students who need KCCEM services (restaurant or accommodation) are requested to pay the required amount to the account No: 2850694514137 of KCCEM,named KCCEM Guest House. The bank slip must be presented to the management of the restaurant.

N.B.

-Students who don’t have all the required documents are not registered;

-Students who don’t respect the registration deadline will be registered after paying 10,000Rwf as penalty fee on KCCEM account mentioned above.

-Students whose health insurance is paid by the government (ex: in 1st category of Ubudehe) must also present the valid card. If those cards are not yet validated, the students is requested to present an official letter from the local government ( cell or sector)to prove that the validation is not yet done.

-Students are alsoinformed that the place is cold and rainy. So they are advised to be prepared accordingly.
