“Beauty & the Beast” LEAD Auditions - January 20th

Auditions for the LEAD roles for our Spring Ballet “Beauty & the Beast” will be held on Saturday, January 20th at Academy of Dance. Ballet LEAD roles are determined by numerous factors: Past ballet experience, ballet technique, past rehearsal attendance, audition preparation (proper attire, completed application, on time, etc.). See attached document for more information and the audition application. Audition fee $10.

Audition times:

Ballet Level III-IV: 12:30-1:15

Ballet Level II: 1:15-1:45

Ballet Level V-VI: 1:45-2:30

*Check-in 15 minutes early with application & headshot completed

*Audition attire: hair in a secure bun, pink tights, pink ballet shoes & a black leotard

Costume Forms for June - Due February 3rd

Costume forms and payment for our June performanceswill be due Saturday, February 3rd! We will be using the same class costumes in our June performances as we did in our December performances. See attached for the class costume form and performance information.

You only need to order a costume if:

• You did not perform in our December shows and want to perform in June
• You added or changed classes
• You need to order a different size

AOD would like to give a HUGE “Thank You” to Eric Kvinsland, the building owner, for his help in getting the carpeting replaced at Academy of Dance! Without his physical and monetary assistance, we would not have been able to make it happen! We’d also like to give a HUGE “Thank You” to Ms. Carla’s son, Taylor, for his help in getting the old flooring torn out and the area prepped for the new carpet! THANK YOU!

“Beauty & the Beast” Performers - Rehearsal Fee

All Ballet students that will be participating in our June Ballet “Beauty & the Beast” will be charged a one-time $25 rehearsal fee for the Saturday ballet rehearsals.

If you are a Ballet level 1 through 6 student and are NOT planning to perform in our “Beauty & the Beast” production, please let us know asap so you are not charged the $25 rehearsal fee. You can email us at:

Important Studio Reminders

• Food & drinks (except water) are NOT permitted anywhere in Academy of Dance. In an effort to keep our new floors & our facility looking its best, this policy will be strictly enforced! Thank you for your cooperation 
• Classes resume on Monday, January 8th. Please email us right away if you’d like to make any changes to your dancer’s schedule for 2018!
• Please supervise your children at all times while they are at the studio.
