CRIME WATCH REPORT FOR MAY 14, 2010 THROUGH MAY 20, 2010

CASE # 10-1735 BURGLARY On Friday, May 14, 2010, Cpl. Root responded to Pell Road, near Kingwood, in regards to a burglary complaint. Items stolen included guns and a laptop computer. This is a continuing investigation.

CASE # 10-1745 DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY On Saturday, May 15, 2010, Deputy T. Mitter responded to the Alpine Village Apartments in Terra Alta in regards to a destruction of property complaint. An unknown male had shattered the glass door to the entrance of the apartments. Anyone with information is asked to contact Deputy Mitter.

CASE # 10-1748 BURGLARY On Saturday, May 15, 2010, Deputy Rodeheaver responded to Bruceton Mills area in regards to a burglary complaint. The home was occupied at the time of the attempted burglary. The resident stated a window had been broken and observed a white Sunfire pulling out of the parking area.

CASE # 10-1780 LARCENY On Tuesday, May 18, 2010, DFC Tichnell received a call that personal belongings had been stolen out of a vehicle while parked in the Masontown area.

CASE # 10-1792 LARCENY On Wednesday, May 19, 2010, Deputy Sinclair responded to a larceny complaint from a resident of Kingwood who stated that scrap metal had been stolen from his property. This is a continuing investigation.

CASE # 10-1788 BURGLARY On Wednesday, May 19, 2010, Deputy Sinclair received a call from a resident of Tunnelton who stated that his home was broken into and guns were stolen. This is a continuing investigation. As a reminder – it is very important that you write down serial numbers of any valuables that you may have. This helps in the recovery of your stolen property.

CASE # 10-1829 BURGLARY On Thursday, May 20, 2010, Deputy Palmer responded to the Big Bear Camp Ground in regards to a burglary complaint. Two campers had been broken into and miscellaneous items were stolen. This is a continuing investigation.

CASE # 10-1801 LARCENY On Thursday, May 20, 2010, Cpl. Dotson received a call from a resident of Bruceton Mills who stated that approximately ten (10) gallons of diesel fuel had been stolen from his truck’s gas tank. Anyone with information is asked to call the Preston County Sheriff’s Department.
