b) Follow this with a text box which states why it is important that children’s basic needs are met in order to support growth and why it is necessary for basic physical needs to be met before children can fully access other areas of development experiences. Relate this to Maslow’s theory.
c)Below this, divide your poster into four sections:
  • The importance of a nutritious diet.
  • The role of sleep.
  • The importance of exercise
  • How addressing physical needs can promote all other areas of development.
d) In each section, explain how children’s physical needs are met in the setting and how this relates to their all-round development, growth and health.
Be creative and produce a poster that is eye-catching, informative and professional. Use the information from mind maps produced in class to support you in completing your poster.
