Notes for August 2017
(1) Club social: Puddings and cakes and good company, we hope you are ableto join us, 7.15pm at St Francis de Sales Church Hall on Wednesday August23rd. Everyone welcome.
(2) Mug Rug Challenge: we hope some of you will have made a mug rug whichwas the challenge by the Committee.
(3) BRING and BUY, as some members were away last month we will have thebring and buy again so everyone gets a chance to see/buy some bargains.
Bring along bits you want to sell and remember to price them up please (and
include you name on price tag)

(1) Annual General Meeting: this is your advance notice of the meeting that
will be on Sept 27th.
(2) Club trip to West of England Quilt Show Friday Sept 1st: we have spare
space on the coach, if you are interested please contact Sue Dobbs.
(3) SOS day Saturday 2nd September at St Georges Hall, Andover Road, 10am -4pm - Folds and Tucks workshop or you can come along and do your own work ormake a Premmie quilt.

Hever Quilt Show is run by region 2 but the discounts are available to all affiliated groups and individual members in all regions so …….
COULD YOU PLEASE MAKE YOU GROUP MEMBERS AWARE OF THIS INFORMATION
Region 2's annual Quilt Show as part of Hever Castle's Handmade and Homegrown Festival. This event is more than a quilt show, bringing together all things handmade and home-grown including craft making, local artisan food producers, local growers and smallholders, alongside traders selling craft products and beautifully designed handmade wares. The beautiful, historic site provides a wonderful backdrop to the work of the quilters who live in region 2.
Entry to the exhibition marquee is free, but there is an admission charge to Hever Castle grounds. However, Hever Castle is offering all Guild members or groups of 15 or more a discount.
Guild members discount: there will be a discounted rate of £12.10 (normally £14.20) for guild members. Download the voucher from the member’s area of the Guild website orhere, print it off and present it on entry along with your membership card.
Affiliated Group discount: there will be a discounted rate of £8.60 if you come in a party of 15 or more and you all go in together.
The details of how to make a group booking are available on the Hever website HOWEVER You will need to telephone the Group Booking Co-ordinator on 01732 861701 in order to obtain the affiliated group discount.
