You must have your own regular #2 pencils for class. Erasers are optional. An ice cream bucket WITH lid is required for acrylic and tempera painting. Start finding that bucket now; no bucket= no acrylic or tempera painting.

Each day will be spent practicing our skills on small or large painting projects; we paint, paint, paint and paint.

Role is taken every day. If you miss a day excused or unexcused you will have to make up the missed studio time before school, noon or after school. Studio time is art work that needs to be done in the art room due to the tools and materials needed. Don’t put off studio work; it WILL catch up with you.

There are due dates on all projects. Late work not accepted. No exceptions unless arrangements made with instructor. Due dates are always posted.

You will be expected to work independently, however, never hesitate to ask for feedback or help. And don’t forget those friendly classmates; they’re great soundboards, critiquers and good Samaritans ready to help.

Classroom work time is extremely important. The materials are available. Your instructor is available. The atmosphere is perfect for inspiration. Use your time wisely. How you use your time always shows up in your work. YOUR HABITS TURN INTO YOUR CHARACTER.
