2.This Opens the Programs and Features Control Panel Applet

Adobe Acrobat Pro DC is the current full featured version for the Adobe Acrobat Product line. Before installing this product we first need to remove any currently installed Adobe Acrobat products. Before starting this process, please save and close anything else you are currently working on, just to be safe.

1.Please click Start then click in the empty space above start and type Programs andFeatures

2.This opens the “Programs and Features” control panel applet

3.Find anything that says Adobe Acrobat, highlight it and thenchoose “uninstall” from above the list of programs as seenbelow

4.You will then see the following, choose“YES”

5.The following willappear

6.Then choose Yesagain

7.Then this, letit run

8.After a few moments the above will disappear indicating that the uninstallis complete

9.You will now notice that the program you just uninstalled is conspicuouslyabsent from the Programs and Features list, please close this window as we are done with thispart.

10.Open your Personal user directory, if you are not familiar with this, it can be found in your computer folder and has the same name as your usernamewhich

you use to log into your computer. Yours will vary from the example below

11.Open the folder named Adobe Acrobat 2017

Scroll down to find the file named SN and openit

13.Highlight the serial number inside and copy it, hint (Press Control A, thenControl C)

14.Close the SNfile

15.Find the file named Setup as indicated. Note: There are two files with this name, locate the one as indicated below, it is the more colorful of thetwo.

16.Right click on this file with your mouse and choose “Run as Administrator”then when prompted by the following, chooserun

When the following appears, chooseOK

18.When you see this, leave it as is and chooseNEXT

19.When you see this, paste the text you copied from step 13 in the serial number field, make sure the “Make Adobe Acrobat…my default…”then click Install

The Installation proceeds as follows

After several minutes the following appears indications the installation has completed.

20.There should be a new icon on your desktop, like so, please double click toopen.

21.Then this, chooseskip

The following appears, clickAccept

23.Adobe Acrobat Pro opens, closes and reopens, almostdone

24.Open the “Help” menu as notedabove

25.Choose “Check forupdates”

Nothing will appear to be happening for a few moments but you willeventually be prompted to install some updates, please do so. It will look like this,click
install, Yes, yes, agree with whatever comes up
