2.1.1Definition of sub-set requirements and specification

Jane M is on the call today and this is the first opportunity to discuss this with SNOMED International. Jane confirmed that it must be from the International Release and in International Release.

Finding the content to request

• Rob M reported that generation of this list is not difficult -Lloyd has been able to do this. We will need to remove duplicates. It was also confirmed that the list included content from a national extension - which must be removed from the FHIR international resources e.g: 441671000124100, 439091000124107, 43909100012410. These are from the list of concepts we are requesting promotion.
• There is an issue that FHIR should not publish these codes until it is promoted to the international release. FHIR need a mechanism to note that these are the codes they intended to include (content from extensions in their draft work - to determine the content they want to request for promotion) but not to publish that content until it is in the international release - HL7 do not have permission to publish content that is from editions other than the international release. Rob McClure will report back on discussions with Lloyd at the next call.

Need to make sure that we respond to the criteria set out in the eMail from December and the DICOM agreement. We must define a given use case - HTA is considering all international FHIR resources.

Action: HTA to put together our request for the free subset content request draft - major activity for this call..

2.2HL7 International namespace Request

Request SNOMED International to create a SNOMED CT extension namespace for HL7 International. Paraphrasing an earlier request from Rob, this is needed by the International Patient Summary project, and "to support model meaning binding and for the IG for SNOMED CT use in FHIR.” This would apply to all of HL7, not a specific WG or affiliate (I understand CIMI has its own).

Action outstanding: HG to submit to IHTSDO request for promotion of content.

Action - HG to provide documentation on process for others to follow.

Heather has begun this process but it is not clear what to do when requesting promotion - Heather has contacted Monica Harry to get guidance (as suggested by Jane Millar). We have till mid April to ensure that the request is put through.

4Tooling

Action: Ted will include the relevant requirements into the UTG (unified terminology governance) project.

Action: feedback from CIC on project 847 potential duplication of UTG - Ted

5Publishing

5.1External Terminology Web Page

How would HTA like to manage this information. We need to document and let Wayne know.

6Harmonisation

Heather and Ted reviewed the Wiki instructions.
