“Placement”herereferstoemploymentinthefieldforwhichthegraduate’seducationhaspreparedhimor her,orinarelatedfieldwhichrequiressubstantial applicationoftheskillsandknowledge taughtinthe curriculum. Thecampusratebelowiffollowed by therateforeachprogramofferedatthecampus. Ifa programhadnograduatesduringthereportingperiod,placementisreportedbelowasnotapplicable(NA). WITHDRAWAL, REFUNDS ANDRETURNOF FEDERALFINANCIAL AID

Astudentwhowishestoofficially withdraw fromtheCollegemustfirstcontacthisorherAcademic Dean for advisementas totheprocessofwithdrawal.Thestudentisalsorequiredtocompletefinancialaidexit formsprovidedbytheOfficeof StudentFinancialServices.Informationontuitionrefundsforstudentswho withdraw fromtheCollegeappearsbelow,underREFUNDPOLICY. Studentsshouldcompleteall necessarywithdrawalpaperworkina timelymanner.

Astudentabsentfromallofhisorherclasses foraperiodof21consecutivecalendardaysduringwhich classesorexaminations areinsessionwillberegarded ashavingwithdrawn fromtheCollegeandwill receiveagradeofWorWFforeachcourseinwhichheorsheisenrolled. Thestudent’slastrecorded

dateofattendancewillbeusedindetermininganyapplicableadjustmenttothestudent’sfunding.Astudent withdrawnforceasingtoattendwillnotbepermittedtore-enrollinanysubsequent quarterwithout discussingacademicprogresswithhis or her AcademicDeanor designatedacademicadvisorandwillbe subjecttoare-entry feeuponre-enrollment.Thispolicydoesnotapplytoastudentduringanapproved leaveofabsence.

StudentsreturningtotheCollegeaftera withdrawalor dismissalwillberequiredtomeettherequirements ofanyprogrammodificationswhichmayhaveoccurredduringtheirabsence.

REFUNDPOLICY

Florence,KYCampus:Therefundpolicyappliestoallstudentswhowithdraw,oraredismissed, fromall coursesafterthebeginningofthequarter.Allrefundsarebasedonthechargesfortheparticularquarter, notonchargesfortheprogram. Refundswillbemadewithin30daysofthedateofdetermination ofa student’swithdrawalordismissal.Therefundpolicyappliesonlytotuition.Feesarenon-refundableexcept inthecaseofwrittennoticeofcancellationofenrollment.

Tri-CountyCincinnati,OHCampus:Ifthestudentis notacceptedinto theprogram,allmoniespaid bythe studentshallberefunded.Refundsoftuitionandrefundablefeesshallbemadeaccordingtothefollowing provisions:

(1) Astudentwhowithdraws beforethefirstclassandafterthefive-day cancellationperiodshallbe obligatedfortheregistrationfee.

(2) Astudentwhostarts classesandwithdrawsduringthefirstfull calendarweekofthe quartershall beobligatedfortwenty-fivepercentofthetuitionandrefundablefeesforthatquarterplusthe registrationfee.

(3) Astudentwhowithdrawsduringthesecondfullcalendarweekofthequartershallbeobligatedfor fiftypercentof thetuitionandrefundablefeesforthatquarterplustheregistrationfee.

(4) Astudentwhowithdrawsduringthethirdfullcalendarweekofthequartershallbeobligatedfor seventy-fivepercentof thetuitionandrefundablefeesforthatquarterplustheregistrationfee.

(5) Astudentwhowithdrawsduringthefourthfullcalendarweekofthequarterandthereaftershallnot beentitledtoarefundofanyportionof thetuitionandfees.

Therefundpolicyappliestoallstudentswhowithdraw,oraredismissed,fromallcoursesafterthebeginning ofthequarter. Allrefundsarebasedonthechargesfortheparticularquarter,notonchargesforthe program. Refundswillbemadewithin30daysofthedateofdetermination ofastudent’swithdrawalor dismissal.

AppealsofrefunddeterminationsmustbeaddressedinwritingtotheCollege’sCorporateDirectorof

StudentFinancialServices.

RETURN OF FEDERAL TITLE IV STUDENT FUNDS

WhenastudentwithdrawsfromtheCollege,atuitionpercentagewillbedeterminedbasedonthereturnof Title IVfunds regulations.The OfficeofStudentFinancialServicesdeterminesthereturnofTitleIVfunds percentageandinformsthe Registrar.Institutionsarerequiredto determinethepercentageofTitleIVaid “earned”bythestudentandtoreturntheunearnedportiontotheappropriateaidprogram.Thispercentage isdetermined bythepercentage oftheenrollmentperiodcompletedbythestudent.Indetermining the percentage,theCollegewill

Determinethepercentageoftheenrollmentperiodcompletedbythestudent(DaysAttended÷ DaysinEnrollment Period=PercentageCompleted).Ifthecalculatedpercentageexceeds60%, thenthestudenthas“earned”allTitleIVaidfortheenrollmentperiod.

ApplythepercentagecompletedtotheTitleIVaidawardedtodeterminethestudent’seligibilityfor

aidpriortothewithdrawal(TotalAidDisbursedxPercentageCompleted= EarnedAid).

DeterminetheamountofunearnedaidtobereturnedtotheappropriateTitleIVaidprogram(Total DisbursedAid–EarnedAid=UnearnedAidtobeReturned). Iftheaidalreadydisbursedequals theearnedaid,nofurtheractionisrequired.Iftheaidalready disbursedislessthantheearned aid,alatedisbursementwillbemadetothestudent.Iftheaidalreadydisbursedisgreaterthanthe earnedaid,thedifferencemustbereturnedtotheappropriateTitleIVaidprogram.

Distributetheresponsibilitytoreturnfundsbetweentheinstitutionandthestudent.Ifthetypeofaid thatthestudentisresponsible forreturningisaloan,thestudentisnotrequiredtoimmediately repaythe amountasthegraceperiodforthe loan, generallysixmonths,isinvoked.The Officeof

StudentFinancialServiceswill determineifany grantsmust be repaidbythestudent. Anyrefund

orrepaymentobligationwillbeclearlyoutlinedforthestudentinwriting.

ReturntheTitleIVaid,basedonthetypeofaiddisbursed,inthefollowingorder:

1. FFEL/DirectUnsubsidizedStaffordLoan

2. FFEL/DirectSubsidizedStaffordLoan

3. FFEL/DirectPLUS(parent)Loan

4. FederalPellGrants

ExamplesregardingtheapplicationoftheReturnofTitleIVFundspolicyareavailableintheOfficeof

StudentFinancialServices.

ThereturnoffundsrequiredunderthispolicyismadetotheTitleIVaidprogramswithin30calendardays afterthedateofdetermination ofwithdrawalordismissal.Studentswillreceiveawrittennoticeofany federalfundsreturnedbytheCollegeandan invoiceforanybalanceowedto theCollege.

EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS

Theplacementrateisdeterminedbydividingthenumberofavailablegraduatesplacedbythetotalnumber ofavailablegraduates.TheAccrediting Councildoesnotrequireinstitutions toreportplacement for graduateswhoarenotavailableforplacement duetocontinuingeducation, active militaryduty,visa restrictionsorpregnancy, death,andhealth-related circumstances. Academic Departments and Faculty

AllBeckfieldCollege faculty havebeendeterminedtobequalifiedbytheiracademiccredentials toteach thecoursesassignedtothem.MostoftheCollege’sfacultyareadjunct(part-time)faculty.Manyofthese, inadditiontotheiracademicqualifications,arecurrentlyworking,orhaveworked,inaprofessionor academicdisciplinedirectlyrelatedtothecoursesassignedtothem. However,becausemanyadjunct facultyarealsoemployedelsewhere,theiremploymentmaylimittheiravailabilitytotheCollege,andnot allmaybeavailabletoteachinaspecificquarter.
