Grades as KC grades

Grade 1 (Elementary) For owners, handlers or dogs which have not gained a first place in an Agility Class or three first places in Jumping Classes at Kennel Club licensed Agility Shows. N.B. Owners, handlers or dogs previously qualified out of Grade 1, (Elementary) are not eligible for this class.

Grade 2 (Starters) Open to dogs which are not eligible for Grades 1, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 and have not gained a first place in an Agility Class or three first places in Jumping Classes at Grade 2 at Kennel Club licensed Agility Shows. N.B. Owners, handlers or dogs previously qualified out of Grade 2 (Starters)

Grade 3 (Graduate) Open to dogs which are not eligible for Grade 1 or 2 or have elected to progress on points from Grade 2 at Kennel Club licensed Agility Shows and dogs which are not eligible for Grade 4, 5, 6 or 7.

Grade 4 (Novice) Open to dogs which have gained a first place in an Agility Class or three first places in Jumping Classes at Grade 3 or elected to progress on points from Grade 3 at Kennel Club licensed Agility Shows and are not eligible for Grade 3, 5, 6 or 7.

Grade 5 (Intermediate) Open to dogs which have gained a first place in an Agility Class or three first places in Jumping Classes at Grade 4 or elected to progress on points from Grade 4 at Kennel Club licensed Agility Shows and are not eligible for Grade 3, 4, 6 or 7.

Grade 6 (Senior) Open to dogs which have gained a first place in an Agility Class or three first places in Jumping Classes at Grade 5 at Kennel Club licensed Agility Shows and are not eligible for Grade 3, 4, 5 or 7.

Grade 7 (Advanced) Open to dogs which have gained a minimum of 4 first places at Grade 6 at Kennel Club Licensed Agility Shows, 2 first places must be gained in Agility (not jumping) Classes.

Class 10 Wiccaweys Special Time Gamble. The judge will set an agility course with an elected course time. The nearest clear round to the judges time will win. 5 Faults will score 5 seconds and deliberate time wasting on the course will incur faults at the discretion of the judge.

Class 11 Wiccaweys Dog Agility. Only dogs adopted from Wiccaweys may enter this class open to any size any grade.

Show Rules

1. All dogs must be entered on the form, including non-competing dogs (NFC)

2. No bitches in season will be allowed to compete, and no mating of bitches allowed at the show.

3. No dogs that have been in contact with, or exposed to, any infectious or contagious diseases in the 3 weeks prior to the show, to be brought to the show.

4. All competing dogs must be aged 18 calendar months or over on day of competition.

5. No harsh handling or ill treatment to any dog within the show.

6. Dogs must be kept under control, and on lead, except when competing or within the exercise area.

7. No collars to be attached to the dog whilst competing, unless it is a flat K.C. regulation type with no tags.

8. Please respect the venue, & clean up after your dogs. Skips for waste will be provided.

9. Please respect our Judges & ring parties.

10. The Judge’s decision will be final.

11. Wiccaweys reserves the right to refuse entries.

12. All dogs & competitors enter at their own risk, and must sign and date the declaration on the entry form

13. Competitors are responsible for ensuring that they are available for their classes

14. Please park only where directed.

15. In the unlikely event of the show being cancelled all unrecoverable expenses will be defrayed before monies are refunded.

16. Please only use the designated areas i.e. car parking, exercise & competing areas. All other areas are out of bounds especially deep water pond. Please keep children and dogs away.

17. A £10 charge will be made for returned cheques.

18. Entries close 15th August or when limit of 1000 runs is reached.

Directions to the Show

From North or South leave M1 at junction 18 and take the A5 to Kilsby. At roundabout in Kilsby take the A361 to Daventry. Take second turn signposted Welton) on the left after Ashby St Ledgers village. Venue is on right through gateway 200m from turn.

The Wiccaweys Autumn Fun Day & Dog Show 2009
