Professional Pilot Program Cost for a student starting with No Prior Experience

At Skys Aircraft Corporation we like to show you how we calculate what it will cost for you to get a license. That way you can see up front where your money is being spent.

Professional Pilot Courses require prepayment to get the discounted flight and instruction rates.

The chart below gives you an idea of flight time and cost for this program. The cost and times reflected here are the minimum hours needed for completion. We have added some extra hours in to the program because students don't typically finish every phase with the minimum amount of flight time. The extra hours will be flown for the rating you're working on at that time.

No Prior Flight Experience

Private Pilot ASEL
40 hours flight time @ $85 per hour = 3400 + tax (7%) = $3638
25 hours flight instruction @ $30 per hour = $750
15 hours ground instruction @ $30 per hour = $450 / $4838
Private Pilot AMEL Add-On
15 hours flight time @ $160 per hour = 2400 + tax (7%) = $2568
15 hours flight instruction @ $30 per hour = $450
5 hours ground instruction @ $30 per hour = $150 / $3168
Instrument Pilot (Completed in a Multi-Engine Aircraft)
50 hours flight time @ $160 per hour = 8000 + tax (7%) = $8560
50 hours flight instruction @ $30 per hour = $1500
20 hours ground instruction @ $30 per hour = $600 / $10660
Time Building to get to Commercial minimums
120 hours flight time @ $80 per hour = 9600 + tax (7%) = $10272
Time Building is completed with 2 pilots in the plane. One pilot under the hood and the other as a required flight crew acting as Safety Pilot. / $10272
