Welcome to Bath Junior Netball Club

Welcome to Bath Junior Netball Club

Bristol & West Netball Club Rules

  1. New starters are welcomed to three ‘taster’ training sessions free of charge before they are required to pay. As soon as the three taster sessions are up, to continue they must become a member of the club and set up a monthly Standing Order for the required amount.
  1. Standing orders payable to the club should be £23.00 pcm for full members, £18.00 pcm Juniors (under 18) and are payable throughout the year.
  1. If a player suffers a serious injury which results in them not being able to attend training or play matches for more than 1 month, they may temporarily suspend their Standing Order. As soon as the player returns to training or to playing matches the Standing Order must be back up and running.
  1. If a player falls pregnant she can suspend paying her subs whilst she is unable to attend training. Once back at training or playing matches again, the subs must start again.
  1. Persistent failure to pay subs or failure to set up a standing order will result in the player being withdrawn from match selection and unable to participate in training until the arrears are cleared.
  1. Players pay for their own England Netball affiliation. Even if a member joins half way through the season they are still responsible for paying the full cost. New players should liaise with their captain & the Affiliation Secretary to ensure they are affiliated before playing matches.
  1. It is integral to the success of the club that players commit to playing throughout the season and attend training as frequently as possible. Particularly with matches, we aim to avoid having instances where a team has less than 7 players on any Saturday, therefore we ask that players provide their Captains with details of their availability at the start of the season and always give reasonable notice (at the latest 9am Thursday before the game) if they are unable to play. This allows time for teams to be re-organised if necessary.
  1. Squad sizes. We will try to limit weekend squads to 10 players to ensure that everyone gets a good game. Occasionally for important matches or against particularly challenging opponents (!) more players will be selected. In order to maintain equity & fairness, Captains will ensure that over the course of the season everyone has taken their turn at being sub.
  1. Each member of the Club is required to conduct a scoring duty on average twice a season. Your Captain will liaise with you about the dates for this. If you are unable to conduct your scoring duty, it is your responsibility to find someone to replace you.
  1. All members must abide by the Club’s Equity Policy, Fair Play Policy, Rules, and Code of Conduct in both training, matches and any time spent representing the Club.
