Volunteer Role Description

Role: Social Media Intern

Hours: 6 hours per week, Flexible, preferably on a Thursday/Friday

Venue: I CAN office, 8 Wakley Street, London EC1V 7QE

Supervisor: Lisette Broadfoot, Information Manager

Duties:

To volunteer 6 hours per week in the I CAN office,

Supporting I CAN's information team with writing and sourcing content for social media. Adding non-urgent content to Buffer for the week ahead. Supporting analysis of social media campaigns and engaging our existing followers.

Skills and Experience required:

·  Experience using various social media channels for a group or organisation.

·  Excellent communication skills (written and oral)

·  Attention to detail

·  Good knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications – Word, Excel, PowerPoint.

·  Self motivation

·  The ability to work as a member of a team

We will provide:

Training:Will be provided to support the role you have been given, if there are other in-house opportunities for development we will endeavour to make them available.

Expenses:Reimbursement of travel expenses. If working a full day, reimbursement of lunch expenses up to a maximum of £5 a day

Support:Supervision will be provided by the volunteer’s supervisor, together with on-going support
