Annual Compliance Training

Employees are required to complete either an in-person or an online version of Annual Compliance Training per University Policy ( The deadline for completing the 2017 Annual Compliance Training is May 17, 2017. In-person sessions of the 2017 Annual Compliance Training will be held in the Student Union Theatre. To register and view available sessions visit

New Employees

Please welcome four employees from Facilities Operations who have joined UITS:

Jessica Hethcote reports to Rob Rowland and will continue to work in the Enterprise Content Management/Data Warehouse and Reporting area with a focus on the Meridian Document Management System and GIS. She is located in the sub-basement of the Library.

John Allen, who reports to Pat Meinweiser, is providing on-site desktop support for Facility Operations Building Services (FOBS) and University Planning, Design and Construction (UPDC). He is located in FOBS along with Araceli Del Castillo who will lead application administration for the new Assetworks AIM software. Araceli reports to Lara Juenger.

Les Martin is reporting to John Wrynn in the Server Support Group. He is located in the Math-Science Building to work alongside enterprise systems administration focused peers.

Upcoming summer construction – commencing next week

  • North Eagleville Road– effectively closed from Discovery Drive to Rt. 195. Will be one way, eastbound only, and limited to construction and local traffic only.
  • Glenbrook Road – right turn only onto North Eagleville Road as egress to Rt. 195.
  • Hillside Road – one lane at Gampel with alternating direction controlled by traffic lights.
  • Whitney Road – turn around at Dodd Center, no connection to Gilbert Road
  • Auditorium Road and Extension – closed to vehicular traffic only construction vehicles allowed
  • Jorgensen Road – Temporary turnaround at CRT for event traffic drop offs only
  • Alumni Drive – short-term construction; potential for one lane, alternating direction.

Search Training

Search committee members are requiredto complete search committee training, facilitated by the Office of Institutional Equity and the Office for Diversity and Inclusion, before serving on a committee. Training workshops include AA/EEO compliance information, search process steps, and strategies for overcoming implicit bias in the search and hiring process. The last class this semester will be offered on May 15, 2017 1-3:30 PM in the Homer Babbidge Library Video Theater 2. To register, please visit equity.uconn.edu or register here.
