We had a great turnout out the Development Corporation booth. I estimate we spoke with about2,000 people.

Prizes:Prizes offered at the booth were: promotional items with the Viborg name or logo on them, candy/snacks, photo booth props, pens/pencils, and kids activity books. The promotional items where water bottles, draw string bags, and jar grips with the new logo on it. We also gave away the rest of the chip clips. In addition to those prizes we gave away 248 snacks, 18 pounds of candy, 120 photo booth props, and 84 activity books. Items could be won by spinning a prize wheel.

My original plan was to have people keep track of how many visitors stopped by our booth but I quickly realized that was not going to be feasible. I, and most of the volunteers, had lines of adults and children waiting at our booth.

The wheel was a great draw for kids and it was an opportunity for us to speak with parents while their kids were busy spinning for prizes. It was not only kids that love to spin for prizes. We had many adults stop by for a chance to win. Any time someone stopped by it was a great opportunity to talk up Viborg.

Photo Booth Props/Lund Theater:I bought some photo booth props such as mustaches, glasses, and hats on a stick. My idea was to have people take a picture using the photo booth props – post the picture on Facebook and tag Viborg – and then anyone who did that would be entered into a drawing for tickets to the Lund Theater. I only had one entry. After two days we started giving away the props and prizes and those were very popular.

Business Cards: I contacted businesses in town and gave them the opportunity to keep their cards at our booth. I had about 20 cards at the booth.

Museum: The museum gave me their flyers as well as some pictures of old Viborg. That was a popular display and it opened up the door to talk about the museum and was else Viborg has to offer.
