TRAINING DAY REGISTRATION FORM

Saturday 5 June 2010, 9.30am to 5pm (refreshments will be available from 9am, we will start promptly at 9.30am)

How much:
The day will cost £10 for all participants from the Southampton District, and for other participants the cost will be £70(includes refreshments, lunch, and all personal course materials). (Note: funding is often available through District Discipleship funds. Ask your minister or District Training Officer.)
If you have already been to a DISCIPLE training event and would like a refresher (without course materials) the cost to you is £20
Preparation:
1. Reading assignment-sample lesson: Session 18 *
Download:
For you to get the most out of the day’s training it is essential that you prepare by downloading and preparing this assignment.
This will include:
Reading all of Matthew chapters 1-25.
Reading all printed information from the download
Reading and responding to “The Bible Teaching” and “Marks of Discipleship”.
*If you do not have access to a computer, please note it on your registration form and you will be sent a hard copy.
2. In order to make DISCIPLE more affordable and available for you we have condensed a three day training experience into one day. This means that our day together will be quite intensive. Please be prepared for this mentally and arrive rested and ready to go! We will take good care of you while you are with us.

THE TRAINING TEAM
Martha Flavell will head up the training team. Martha is an accredited trainer for Disciple and has led training seminars both here in the UK and in the USA. She has also run DISCIPLE in local churches in both countries. She is enthusiastic and passionate about DISCIPLE and the transformation that it encourages in the lives of individuals as well as churches. Martha currently lives in Hexham and is the Children’s Ministries Co-ordinator for Hexham Trinity Methodist Church and will be available for continuing consultation as you implement Disciple in your own setting.
Working with Martha will be Margaret Smithson, a member at Chandler's Ford Methodist Church and a Local Preacher. Margaret has ministries in preaching, teaching and healing and is currently studying Ignatian Spirituality and the Art of Spiritual Direction. She is a Tutor for the Faith and Worship course and had led two DISCIPLE courses in her Circuit.
Juli Willsis Training Officer for the Southampton District and will be facilitating the day and making sure everyone is well fed and watered!
THE VENUE
Salisbury Methodist Church is in the centre of Salisbury and is within walking distance of the station – it takes about 12 minutes to walk there.
There are two car parksquite near to the church, Salt Lane and Culver Street multi story and there are also Park and Ride car parks around the city and buses stop near the church.

If you are travelling from a distance, you might like to make a weekend of it and stay in one of the many local bed and breakfast places in and around the city, there’s plenty to see and enjoy.
Refreshments will be available throughout the day, including lunch.
