Subject: The Olympic School Program – 11th Edition

Instructions of Volleyball Girls’ Tournament (for Primary, Preparatory and Secondary Schools)

The Organizing Committee of the Olympic School Program - Qatar School Sport Association – presents its best compliments and wishes you all continuous success. We have the pleasure to inform you about the dates of the volleyball competitions for all the grades within the 11th edition of the Olympic School Program (attached). Kindly facilitate the participating girls’ exit according to the agenda of the competition approved by the Program Organizing Committee. Please note that the Organizing Committee will pay a food, water and clothes allowance to the participating schools.

We would like to draw your attention to the following:

  • To comply with the instructions of the organizational regulations of the Olympic School Program – 11th edition – during the girls’ registration and the attendance of only the allowed numbers and ages depending n every stage.
  • To represent the school in the best way during the competitions.
  • To abide by the sporting behavior and fair play by all the participating students and their supervisors.
  • To abide by the decent and suitable sporting dress for all the supervisors and participating students and to ensure that the T-shirts are numbered form the front and the back.
  • To complete the medical examination procedures and certification of all the participating students before the commencement of the competitions.
  • Competitions start at 8:00 AM and games will be played according to the order of arrival of the participating teams in every center.
  • The team shall consist of 12 female players and should not be less than 9 players otherwise it shall be deemed withdrawing from the game.
  • The game consists of 3 sets each of 15 points for the primary stage and 221 points for the preparatory and secondary stages with a timeout of 2 minutes between the sets.
  • The winning team is the one which wins two sets out of three (2/0)
  • The volleyball competitions are based on the knockout system.
  • The winning team will be notified later of the new game venue.
  • Forms should be filled in clearly and the information should be complete in every center like the writing of the day, date, center name and names of participating schools.
