To the Parents/Guardians of our Elementary Orchestra Students,
Elementary Orchestra students will be presenting a concert on May 6that 7:00pm to be held at the Spring Grove Area High School. Students are asked to arrive in the High School Cafeteria by 6:30 pm, to give us time to tune and review any final details.
Performance Attire for our Spring Concert will be semi-formal. All students should wear a white top (dress shirt/polo/blouse) with black pants/skirt. Dress shoes are also encouraged. We would like to show a unified appearance as an ensemble. Please contact me should you any questions about the concert attire.
Your child and fellow musicianswill be working hard in ensemble rehearsals, sectionals and through individual practice to prepare the music for your entertainment and enjoyment. In order to heighten the experience for you as a listener and for the students as performers, the entire Music Department would like to remind you of the following pointsregarding concert etiquette:
-Plan to arrive on time: If you happen to run a little late, please wait to enter the concert area between musical selections. If you find you must leave the concert area for some reason, please wait and do so only between selections. Those attending with younger children are encouraged to sit near the back or at the end of the rows to minimize any distraction.
-Avoid extraneous noise. If your cell phone, or other electronic device has an alarm or notification feature, please be sure it is turned off during the concert.
-Be courteous while taking pictures. Flash photography is discouraged while the students are performing. Please wait till the conclusion of each performance to take flash photography.
Your child’s attendance for this event is highly encouraged, and we encourage you to bring family and friends to your child’s first formal instrumental concert!
