Title I Lewisville Elementary School 2011-2012

Dear Parents,

According to the federal No Child Left Behind Act of 2001, students must be provided an opportunity to attend another school within the district if the students are enrolled in a Title I school identified as in need of improvement. A school is identified as in need of improvement based upon a school not meeting the state’s definition of adequate yearly progress for two years consecutively. AYP is determined by a combination of the Palmetto Assessment of State Standards (PASS) scores of students in a school, student attendance, and the percentage of students tested.

Based on school data LewisvilleElementary School is a school identified for continuing school improvement. Therefore, LES is a school that is required to offer public choice for the 2011-12 school year with transportation provided by the district. Students are eligible to transfer to Chester Park School of the Arts, Center of Literacy through Technology and The Academy of Teaching and Learning.

If you are interested in a transfer for the 2011-2012 school year, please contact:
