Registration for accepted students and late applications will be accepted

July 31st 9:00 AM-1:00 PM, August 1st 9:00 AM-1:00 PM & August 2nd 9:00 AM-1:00 PM,

Your child MAY qualify for our program if they meet one or more of the following criteria:

  • Your childwill bethree years oldon or beforeSeptember 1, 2017, and
  • Family meetsNational Poverty income guidelines, or
  • Family is currently receiving TANF (Temporary Assistance for Needy Families), or
  • Family is currently receiving SSI (Supplemental Security Income), or
  • Child is currently in foster care, or
  • Family is homeless (Must be verified by district social worker)

Your child MAY qualify for our program if they meet one or more of the following criteria:

  • Your child will be four years old on or before September 1, 2017, and
  • Family meets National Poverty income or National Free/Reduced-price lunch program guidelinesor
  • Family is currently receiving TANF (Temporary Assistance for Needy Families), or
  • Family is currently receiving SSI (Supplemental Security Income), or
  • Child is currently in foster care, or
  • Family is homeless (Must be verified by district social worker), or
  • Child is unable to speak and comprehend the English language, or
  • Is a child of an active duty military member or the armed forces of the US, or
  • Child is or has been in the conservatorship of the Department of Family and Protective Services following an adversary hearing held as provided by Section 262.201, Family Code

Required Application Documents (If possible, please bring clear copies of your original documents):

  1. Child’s birth certificate
  2. Child’s immunization record
  3. Child’s Social Security card
  4. Family income verification (2 recent check stubs for each parent/legal guardian employed)
  5. Proof of residence in old TCISD boundaries current within 30 days (lease agreement, utility billsor receipts with address on it, food stamps, Medicaid verification) If living in someone else’s home, the homeowner must provide 2 proofs of residency from the list above, and visit with district representatives off campus to obtain the appropriate notarized TCISD registration form.
  6. Parent or legal guardian’s driver’s license or government issued picture ID
  7. If student lives with someone else other than parents, please provide notarized or court documentation showing legal guardianship of the child
  8. Child’s health insurance card

Your child’s application will not be considered complete until all documents have been received and approved. Application to the program does not guarantee enrollment in the program. Letters will be sent home inJune informing parents if their child has been accepted into the program for the 2017-2018 school year, is on the waiting list, or is ineligible for our program. Acceptance into the program is not on a first-come, first-served bases. Acceptance is based upon a prioritized need.
